💎 Why we love it ?

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek lies in the famous Annapurna region of the Himalayas. One of the most popular treks in Nepal, it is also one of the best short Himalayan treks. A perfect blend of nature, culture, and views of mountains, this walking adventure offers you a wonderful trekking experience. As the trek doesn’t go too high in the elevation, it is perfectly an ideal trekking adventure even for the first-timers. This trek is popular as an easy trek but you still need to walk the meandering trail up and down the mountains. You need to traverse thousands of steps along the trail. But the adventure is truly worthy of going for it. And we bet this is the easy trekking adventure in Nepal. Famous for its pristine nature along the trail, view of the mountains, sunrise, and beautiful cultural villages, this adventure makes a perfect holiday.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Day 1 – Kathmandu Arrival

The first day of your adventure trip to the Ghorepani Poon Hill in the Annapurna foothills starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in detail. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.

Day 2 – Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu (B)

We will take an acclimatization day in Kathmandu today where we spend time exploring the cultural heritage sites in the valley. The sightseeing tour that starts after breakfast takes you to four of the amazing cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley.
Exploring Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath will give you an incredible experience of ancient, medieval, and modern cultural, historical, and spiritual wonders. You will see and experience the lifestyle in Kathmandu during the tour. The tour will take pretty much of our day, today. We will return back to the hotel later in the afternoon.

Day 3 – Kathmandu – Pokhara (B)

We will drive to Pokhara today. It is a long day’s drive to the beautiful lake city that is 200 kilometers to the west of Kathmandu. About six hours of the drive along the highway takes us through beautiful villages, towns, rivers, and other wonderful surroundings. We will reach Pokhara in the afternoon that leaves us enough time to go for a stroll around the Lakeside and enjoy the beauty of Fewa Lake. Pokhara offers a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the mountains from the city itself. Exploring around and soaking in the beauty of Pokhara, we will spend quite leisurely time preparing for the trek to start tomorrow.

Day 4 – Pokhara – Ulleri (2,010m) – (B, L, D)

The trekking part of our adventure trip starts today. But before we start the walk, we still need to drive for around one and a half hours to Nayapul. It is an easy day of the walk, except for the final uphill walk to Ulleri village for overnight stay. We will walk for around six hours today before reaching the destination. The day basically feels nicer and easier as we traverse through a dirt road in most of the sections today. Ulleri offers a nice view of the surroundings that will make our stay there enjoyable.

Day 5 – Ulleri – Ghorepani (2,875m) – (B, L, D)

The second day of the walk takes us to the amazing Ghorepani village that offers us some breathtaking views of the Himalayas. About five hours of uphill yet pleasant walk through the lush forest takes us to the destination. We will get to enjoy the pleasure of walking through beautiful nature.
When we reach Ghorepani, it will feel like we have come to a different space as it offers us a view of enigmatic mountains. The mountains in the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range of the Himalayas stand tall right in front of us. We stay overnight at Ghorepani today.

Day 6 – Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3,210m) – Tadapani (2,670m) – (B, L, D)

We wake up pretty early in the morning today to start our hike towards the famous Poon Hill. The viewpoint offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan range and a beautiful sunrise over those massive peaks. After enjoying the sunrise and the view of the mountains, we descend to Ghorepani and continue the trek to Tadapani after breakfast. The walk to Tadapani will take us about five hours that goes through beautiful natural surroundings.  We stay overnight at Tadapani today.

Day 7 – Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m) – (B, L, D)

It is a beautiful nature walking a day to Ghandruk village today. We are going to walk only for around four hours through a forested trail before reaching the beautiful Gurung settlement of Ghandruk. As it is a short day of the walk, we will have enough time to explore the village and its surroundings once we reach the destination. The village has a settlement of the Gurung community that has rich cultural traditions of the mountains. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in the village.

Day 8 – Ghandruk – Nayapul – Pokhara – (B, L, D)

We are on the last day of the trekking adventure on the trip. It is a gentle downhill walk to Nayapul along the Modi Khola valley. We complete a circuit on the trail once we reach Birethanti to meet the trail that parts towards Ulleri. Once we reach Nayapul, we drive to Pokhara for another hour and a half and done for the day. We enjoy a relaxing evening in Pokhara.

Day 9 – Pokhara – Kathmandu (B)

We will drive back to Kathmandu today along the same highway that we took earlier to go to Pokhara. There is also an option of flying back with the payment of the extra cost for the flight. Back in Kathmandu, we will take and enjoy leisurely time around.

Day 10 – Departure Day (B)

The 10 Days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek has come finally to an end with beautiful memories and experience of adventure trekking to the Annapurna region. We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.

Our trip has long for 10 days for Ghorepani Poonhill.

I & my friend , we had contacted with Mr.Prakash Lamsal (Adventure Himalaya Circuit Treks & Tours). We had contacted early for a year for our trip. This is our 1st trekking trip so we searched a lots of informations. Then we had designed our itinerary, Mr.Prakash helped us a lot to manage & provide the trip. He gave us a reasonable price & a good advice.

We got an inconvenience about transfer a deposit by USD to Nepal , so we informed him about that. But his response made us surprised!!!
“we can pay all by cash at the office in Nepal” ( how’s wonder!!! We’re never know each other, how he can trust us?)

We’re not sure on our arrived date nobody picked us up? We were looking for that day!!!!!
On that day , Mr.Basu (Mr. Prakash’ s bro) who picked us up at the airport & warm welcoming by the traditional welcome.

AHCT provided everything for us such as a hotel, car, guide, domestic flight & Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

    Our guide & porter : Mr.Thakur & Mr.Sakul.

Mr.Thakur gave us a good taking care throughout the trip. He gave us some fruits, some biscuits for energy. He noticed our fatigue & pace, then adjusted our plan accordingly to our fatigue.

For our porter,Mr.Sakul, he’s a thin boy but politely & kindly boy. I wonder how strong he is!!! He carried our luggages throughout the trip without complaining.

I’d like to say big thanx to Mr.Basu , Mr. Prakash , Mr.Thakur & Mr.Sakul to having a good take care of us throughout the trip.

We got a good experience in our 1st trekking trip in Nepal by Adventure Himalaya Circuit Treks &Tours.
