Langtang Valley Trekking is a wonderful trekking route that takes you across the Langtang valley. Langtang valley, also known as “the valley of glaciers” is one of the most famous trekking destinations of all time. The trail takes us from the green and lush forest of rare vegetation such as pine, juniper, rhododendron, and other species. With the fast-flowing mountain streams, mighty peaks, and grassy meadows full of blooming flowers, you get the idea of heaven on earth. Langtang Valley Trekking is a perfect chance for you to get lost in the beauty of nature. Since you’ll be traveling through the Tamang and Sherpa villages, you’ll even have the opportunity to glance into the rich culture and traditions of local people. The monasteries, cheese factory, and the various cultural heritages falling on the way play an important role in making this trek an unforgettable journey.
🏁 Tour Itinerary: Langtang Valley Trekking
Day 1 – Kathmandu Arrival
The first day of your adventure trip to the Langtang Valley Trekking starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in detail. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.
Day 2 – Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu (B)
We will take an acclimatization day in Kathmandu today where we spend time exploring the cultural heritage sites in the valley. The sightseeing tour that starts after breakfast takes you to four of the amazing cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley.
Exploring Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath will give you an incredible experience of ancient, medieval, and modern cultural, historical, and spiritual wonders. You will see and experience the lifestyle in Kathmandu during the tour. The tour will take pretty much of our day, today. We will return back to the hotel later in the afternoon.
Day 3 – Kathmandu – Syabrubesi (1,460m) – (B, L, D)
We leave Kathmandu today to go to Syabrubesi. It is a long driving day by public bus to the destination. It takes us around 8 hours to reach Syabrubesi where we spend overnight today. The small town is a beautiful settlement of ethnic Tamang people living in the region. We will also be able to enjoy the beauty of rural Nepal along the highway we take for the day.
Day 4 – Syabrubesi – Lama Hotel (2,470m) – (B, L, D)
Everything is all set to start the trekking part of the adventure. We get ready to trek for the first day after breakfast. The walk today takes us to Lama Hotel in the region. It is a walk of about five hours along the peaceful trail that passes through beautiful surroundings. Once we reach the overnight destination, we can wander around to exploit the beautiful atmosphere.
Day 5 – Lama Hotel – Langtang Village (3,496m) – (B, L, D)
It is the day of the walk that takes us to an elevation higher than 3,000 meters above sea level. We continue the walk to Langtang village that is almost at an elevation of 3,500 meters above sea level. This beautiful village, reconstructed after the earthquake in 2015, is our overnight destination for the day. The peaceful surroundings of the trail make our walk quite impressively beautiful.
Day 6 – Langtang Village – Kyanjing Gompa (3,850m) – (B, L, D)
We continue walking even higher. Kyanjing Gompa is the destination for the walk of the day today. We traverse the trail through beautiful surroundings where we can find several mani walls, prayer flags, shortens, etc. The presence of these things suggests an impressive influence of Buddhism in the life of people living in the region. Once we reach the Kyanjing village, we will find ourselves in the awesome surroundings of the mountains. It is a beautiful cultural village in the region that offers a rich experience of cultural immersion.
Day 7 – Kyangjing Ri (4,773m) – (B, L, D)
It is an early morning day today. The early wake-up is to start a wonderful hike to Kyanjing Ri for a spectacular view of the mountains and sunrise. When we reach the Ri, we will be at the highest elevation of the trip. Standing at an elevation of 4,773 meters above sea level, we will enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. We will also witness an unbelievably beautiful sunrise over the mountains.
Later, we hike back to Kyanjing Gompa and spend the day at leisure in the village.
Day 8 – Kyanjing Village – Lama Hotel (2,470m) – (B, L, D)
We continue our trek back towards Syabrubesi today. The day walk will take us all the way back to Lama Hotel to stay overnight.
Day 9 – Lama Hotel – Syabrubesi (1,460m) – (B, L, D)
On the way back to Syabrubesi today, we will enjoy the final day of the trek. Once we reach the town and check into a guesthouse, we will have an easy time exploring around.
Day 10 – Syabrubesi – Kathmandu (1,400m) – (B, L)
Another long day drive takes us back to Kathmandu today. It feels nice to be back in the city after spending quality time in the mountains.
Day 11 – Departure Day (B)
The 11 Days Langtang Valley Trek has come finally to an end with beautiful memories and experiences of adventure trekking to the Langtang region. We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.

I wanted to trek independently in Langtang but ran out of time to organise it. I found the office of Adventure Himalaya Circuit at random in Kathmandu and talked to Basu, the Director. We negotiated on what i wanted and he offered me a reasonable price.
The trip was very good and made so much better by the arrangements put in place and especially my excellent guide Thakur. He negotiated all the places to stay, gave good advice and delivered exactly what I needed. Thank you.
