Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the least crowded trekking routes in Nepal. Even it’s a new trekking route, Manaslu Circuit trekking is one of the best-favored trekking routes in mid-Nepal. The trek allows a panoramic view of Mt. Manaslu (8163 m) and Ganesh Mountain Range in closer while the name of the trek itself tells that the trekking focus for Mount Manaslu. The journey takes us through Budhi Gandaki River to Larke Pass (5,220 m). Since Manaslu Circuit trekking covers geographical locations at various altitudes, we can experience different landscapes ranging from forest to countryside to high pass of Larkya La (5125 m) to glaciers to mountain.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: Manaslu Circuit Trek

Day 1 – Kathmandu Arrival

The first day of your adventure trip to the Manaslu Circuit Trek starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in detail. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.

 

Day 2 – Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu (B)

We will take an acclimatization day in Kathmandu today where we spend time exploring the cultural heritage sites in the valley. The sightseeing tour that starts after breakfast takes you to four of the amazing cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley.
Exploring Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath will give you an incredible experience of ancient, medieval, and modern cultural, historical, and spiritual wonders. You will see and experience the lifestyle in Kathmandu during the tour. The tour will take pretty much of our day, today. We will return back to the hotel later in the afternoon.

 

Day 3 – Kathmandu – Soti Khola (710m) – (B, L, D)

It is a long yet beautiful day of driving through the highway that runs in a rural setting. We will drive to Soti Khola today that will take us around 8 hours to reach. Along the highway, we can enjoy the beauty of several beautiful towns, villages, farmlands, and river valleys. We reach eventually Soti Khola and settle into a lodge there to stay overnight.

 

Day 4 – Soti Khola – Machha Khola (900m) – (B, L, D)

We embark on the trekking adventure in the Manaslu region today. It is the first of walking through the river valley towards Machha Khola. Around six hours of the walk, today is a beautiful combination of incredible natural surroundings and lower river valley cultures. A peaceful and easy day of the walk today takes us to Machha Khola to stay overnight.

 

Day 5 – Machha Khola – Jagat (1,340m) – (B, L, D)

We continue the walking journey today towards Jagat from Machha Khola. As we trek along the peaceful trail through beautiful surroundings in the Budhi Gandaki river valley, we will get to see how wonderful the region is. Beautiful farmland, lush greenery, and local villages that come along the trail keep us amazed. Crossing rivers over suspension bridges and walking up several stone steps also make our day. We can enjoy the walk-in in a peaceful atmosphere since there are only fewer trekkers in the region. The small and charming village of Jagat welcomes us with its beautiful surroundings at the end of the day.

 

Day 6 – Jagat – Philim (1,700m) – (B, L, D)

We set off for another 5 hours of the trek today. The walk goes past Salleri and Sirdibas and eventually reaches a beautiful Gurung settlement of Philim. This beautiful Gurung village is our overnight destination today. The trek starts with an uphill walk towards Salleri before it descends to Sirdibas. We again start trekking up towards the destination for the day. We can explore and experience the cultural wonders of Philim once we reach there.

 

Day 7 – Philim – Deng (2,095m) – (B, L, D)

The walk to Deng village today is another day of trekking through peaceful surroundings. After taking our breakfast at Philim, we start the trek for the day and descend to the Budhi Gandaki river bank. We cross the river a few times and walk ahead towards the destination for the day. As we walk further ahead of Deng Khola, we reach Deng village to stay overnight. It’s a small and beautiful village where trekkers normally stay overnight in the region.

 

Day 8 – Deng – Namrung (2,900m) – (B, L, D)

We are still walking through the Budhi Gandaki river valley upstream. Our trek Namrung today crosses the river several times along the trail. The trail starts opening up with beautiful views of the mountains. As we trek towards Namrung village, we can enjoy the magical view of the beautiful Siringi Himal in the region. The walk also takes us past several ancient monasteries along the trail and lets us enjoy the wonders of culture, nature, and the mountains throughout the trek today.

 

Day 9 – ​Namrung – Samagaun (3,500m) – (B, L, D)

The walk today brings you breathtaking views of several mountains from along the trail. As we walk past beautiful villages and terraced farmland, we can enjoy the views of the mountains like Manaslu, Siringi Himal, Ganesh Himal, Simnang Himal, Peak 29, Himal Chuli, etc. It is a day walking adventure with a spectacular view of mountains and local village exploration. We reach Samagaun today to stay overnight. We can enjoy a wonderful view of the beautiful surroundings of Samagaun.

 

Day 10 – Acclimatization Day – (B, L, D)

We take an extra day to stay over at Samagaun to help ourselves acclimatize. This day will take us for an exploration of the beautiful surroundings. We can walk up to Birendra Lake and enjoy the day before we return back to Samagaun to stay overnight.

 

Day 11 – Samagaun – Samdo (3,690m) – (B, L, D)

After a day of acclimatization break, we are ready to walk further on the adventure. We start the walk for the day after breakfast at Samagaun. Our destination for the day is the beautiful Samdo village. Merely four hours of the walk today takes us to Samdo. We descend and ascend along the trail and cross Budhi Gandaki River again along the trail. The beautiful village of Samdo has wonderful surroundings for us to explore once we reach there.

 

Day 12 – Samdo – Dharmashala (4,450m) – (B, L, D)

Today, we walk to the base of Larke Pass. Dharamshala, the base of the Larke La, is an impressive place that is at an elevation of 4,450 meters above sea level with an astounding surrounding. The trek today is a short one of about only four hours through wonderful mountainous surroundings. We will have enough time to explore and exploit the beauty of the surroundings at Dharmashala.

 

Day 13 – Dharmashala – Larke La (5,220m) – Bimthang (3,590m) – (B, L, D)

We reach the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit Trek today when we reach the Larke pass. The early morning walk up the mountain towards the pass takes us to the top of Larke pass that stands at an elevation of 5,220 meters above sea level. We can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains that will keep us in awe. Later, we descend to Bimthang to stay overnight.

 

Day 14 – Bimthang – Tilije (2,300m) – (B, L, D)

Almost at the end of the trek, we walk to Tilije today. After the adventurous day of walking over the mountain pass, we now have some easy walking days that take us to lower elevation. It is around five hours of walk before we reach Tilije village to stay overnight.

 

Day 15 – Tilije – Chamje (1,410m) – (B, L, D)

We are on the final day of the trekking adventure. Our trek in the Manaslu Circuit comes to meet the Annapurna circuit trail today. The walk takes us all the way to Chamje where we stay overnight. We meet other trekkers who are heading towards the famous Thorong La eventually.

 

Day 16 – Chamje – Besi Sahar – Kathmandu (1,400m) – (B, L)

We take a local jeep ride to Besi Sahar and then drive all the way back to Kathmandu. It will be a full day drive along the rough dirt road and highway. Spend a relaxing evening once we reach Kathmandu.

 

Day 17 – Departure Day (B)

The 17 Days Manaslu Circuit Trek has come finally to an end with beautiful memories and experience of adventure trekking to the beautiful Manaslu region. We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.

    This is our first visit of Nepal with Adventure Himalaya Circuit. Prakash, the owner of this company organised our Manaslu trip in Nepal. We both are very impressed with him and really satisfied from this company hospitality. The price also very perfect and our Guide (Furi Sherpa) is a very kind and always helpful person. We have planned to travel again in Nepal for EBC trek. For this definitely we will contact with Mr. Prakash and again we will use his services. Thank you very much for your kind services.     Me and my friend traveled in Nepal in September of 2019. Actually we didn’t make any proper plan about Nepal. In the street of Thamel when we have founded Adventure Himalaya Circuit, At the same time the owner of this Company Prakash have gave us lots of information about Nepal’s trek. And in the end finally we have decided to go Manaslu circuit trek from this company. We both guys are very satisfied from this company. Guide Mr. Binod was very helpful and kind person. He always want to help us during our 16 days Manaslu circuit trek. We are going to highly recommend for this company and thank you very much Prakash to make us memorable trip in Nepal.
