Itinerary
Step 1
Start your journey in Virpazar and sail through a narrow canal bordered with reeds and willows. Tucked inside the traditional wooden boat you will reach the open lake soon.
Step 2
Find yourself at the open lake and marvel at its size while observing the distant mountains in Albania.
Step 3
As you pass under the nearby bridge gliding through the fields of water chestnuts, you will discover Lesendro - a centuries-old fortress.
Step 4
Observe the birds as you proceed near the bird sanctuary and marvel at the view that awaits behind the three islands. Watch thousands of leaves floating on the lake's surface.
In the meantime
have a glass of local wine and immerse yourself in the fresh waters of Lake Skadar.
Step 6
Discover a tiny, hidden hamlet: the old village of Karuč.
Step 7
It's time to head back! Don't miss out on the breathtaking views awaiting your return journey. Take your time to immerse yourself in the unspoiled wilderness and take a refreshing dip in the fresh, deep-blue waters of Lake Skadar, surrounded by stunning scenery. Search for "Kingfisher Boat & Kayak - Lake Skadar, P16, Virpazar, Montenegro" on Google Maps (not just "P16, Virpazar, Montenegro" - it will show the incorrect address). Exchange this voucher for your boat ticket at the location.
- Check-in is 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If you are running late for check-in, please notify us immediately via WhatsApp message. Send us your name, scheduled departure time, and estimated arrival time.
- Please note that the info desk is the designated meeting point, and you should arrive there only after parking and being ready to start the tour. If you have trouble finding a parking space, please search "Parking Virpazar" on Google Maps.
- Also note that parking is free and public throughout the village (except for the one near De'Andros Hotel). Avoid unauthorised operators at the entrance and on the street who may offer services or say the parking is private; decline their offers and park your car freely.
