Itinerary

Pick-up from your location in Chania Region

Your day begins with a personal pick-up by your English-speaking driver from your hotel, villa, or preferred meeting point. Settle into a premium air-conditioned vehicle as we leave the city behind and head west along Crete’s scenic coastline.

Balos Viewpoint (or Hiking Drop-off).

You may stop at the Balos Panorama viewpoint — perfect for photos and admiring the lagoon from above. A 20–30 minute downhill walk leads to the lagoon itself.

Free Time at Balos Lagoon

Enjoy 2–2.5 hours at one of Greece’s most iconic beaches. Swim in the shallow turquoise waters, explore the unique lagoon landscape, or relax on the white-pink sand. Your driver will provide umbrellas, towels, and water for your comfort.

Note: Balos is a protected natural area - there are no shops, sunbeds, or toilets. This is nature in its purest form.

Visit & Wine Tasting at Pnevmatikakis Winery

Next, we visit the family-owned Pnevmatikakis Winery in Drapanias. The estate is known for its dedication to traditional Cretan varieties and warm hospitality. You'll enjoy:

- A short tour of the production and aging facilities

- A guided wine tasting with 5–7 wines (white, rosé, red)

- Time to browse and purchase wines or local products if desired

The relaxed atmosphere and scenic surroundings make this an ideal midday stop.

Lunch by the Sea

Just a short drive from the winery, we’ll arrive at a seaside taverna loved by locals. Here, you’ll enjoy a slow, satisfying lunch:

- Appetizers like Cretan salads, spreads, or grilled vegetables

- A main course of fresh fish or seafood

- Local wine or soft drinks

- Seasonal fruit or traditional dessert

Vegetarian options available on request.
