Itinerary

Departure & Scenic Drive

Pickup from your hotel, villa, or cruise ship (Souda Port). Lean back in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan and enjoy a scenic 40-minute drive through the mountains and gorges of western Crete.

Stop at the Cave of Agia Sofia

A short break to stretch your legs and refresh. Use the restrooms, grab a cool drink at the local café Romántza, and if you're up for it, climb ~150 steps to visit the impressive Cave of Agia Sofia. The cave features a small chapel, large chambers with stalactites, and sweeping views of the Topolia Gorge.Duration: approx. 30 minutes. The climb is optional but recommended for those with moderate fitness.

Elafonisi Beach

Welcome to paradise. Known for its unique pink-tinged sand and shallow turquoise waters, Elafonisi is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or simply wandering the lagoon area. You’ll have 2 hours of free time, beach umbrellas and towels are provided.Note: Elafonisi is part of a protected Natura 2000 zone. Please respect the natural surroundings.

Lunch in the Village of Elos

After the beach, head into the green heart of the mountains to the traditional village of Elos. Enjoy a hearty Cretan meal at Taverna Filoxenia, where local dishes are made with love and seasonal ingredients. Vegetarian options available.

Wine Tasting at Pnevmatikakis Winery

Next, enjoy a guided wine tasting at the family-run Pnevmatikakis Winery in Drapanias. Tour the cellar, learn about indigenous grapes like Vidiano and Kotsifali, and try a curated selection of reds, whites, and rosés — all included in the tour.

Olive Oil & Honey Experience at Idiosmos

Your taste journey continues at the Idiosmos estate near Kissamos. Meet the family who has been crafting olive oil and honey for over a century. Tour the old stone press, learn about beekeeping, and taste multiple varieties of honey and oils, served with local bread and cheeses.

Return to Chania

Relax and enjoy the final 35-minute ride back to your accommodation, enriched with the tastes and colors of western Crete.
