Step 2
Ananuri fortress: a story in stone On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.
Step 3
You will find the confluence of two rivers (White and Black Aragvi), breathtaking views at the Arch of Friendship and an unusual mineral spring resembling a golden river.

on the edge of the mountain near Gudauri. This is the highest point of the pass and the perfect place to submit to the mountains forever!
Step 5
Our last stop will be in the village of Juta. This is where the hiking route starts. It is one of the highest points - 2200 meters above sea level.
