6.30am Set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. The road to the Green Crater Lake takes you out of Naivasha and along a rough and bumpy road down the edge of lake Naivasha passing by huge Greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. You will arrive at the Green Crater Lake at 9.30am approx and you will begin your morning game walk. The green crater lake was formed by volcanic activity. The group will walk in a reserve where its possible to get up close to Giraffe and many varieties of antelopes. Its great opportunity for photos. The guides will answer questions about the animals, birdlife etc and point out the rocks formed due to the volcanic activity.

After morning breakfast you will drive down to Kabale Uganda's highest town (2000 m), with beautiful, lush scenery along the way. We will camp at Lake Bunyonyi, Africa's deepest crater lake (900 m). Bunyonyi means "place of little birds", so you can expect to view interesting and unique bird-life. This is an excellent resting point before the gorilla trek.

Enjoy a beautiful drive over the mountains, as we transfer to our base in Mgahinga , on the southwestern tip of Uganda. Today we embark on the experience of a lifetime. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is home to more than half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorilla and the golden Monkeys. Fortunately for the gorillas are the main reason as to why the park was created by the Uganda government. The trekking can be demanding and last the day long. A water bottle and good walking shoes or boots are highly recommended. Experienced local guides will lead us through the thick mountain jungle. Once we locate the gorillas, we will stay and observe them for about an hour - this time is strictly governed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Photography is permitted (although not the use of flash, and there are restrictions to the use of video cameras), but with or without a camera, this is one of the most breathtaking and emotional experiences Africa can offer, and certainly one that will remain with you long after your journey.

We will transfer to the Ngorongoro crater, via Olduvai Gorge. Ngorongoro is an impressive 20 km wide volcanic crater with 600 m walls. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife, due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Olduvai Gorge is famed for the discovery of 3.5 million year-old fossil fragments of an early human civilization. The views from the top of the crater wall are absolutely breathtaking which are forested but four wheel drive vehicles will take you down into this primeval paradise of woodland, lake, river, swamp and plain that shelters around 20,000 animals. Large grazing animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, gazelle and zebra that depends on the open grasslands in the crater. Attracting predators, the black-manned lion, the leopard and hyena. The elephant found are the lone males. The Fever Tree forests shelter monkeys, bushbuck and waterbuck and the few black rhino that have taken refuge here. A soda lake attracts water birds, including flamingoes and is a favorite place for predators to make their kill. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro Crater has been called a Garden of Eden and the afternoon will be spent at the crater tour.
