Itinerary

Day 1

Brasov - Bucegi Natural Park

  • 1 day in Bucegi Mountains hiking on the northern part, from Bran village area, which is more beautiful and wild. We make a stop to an authentic sheep farm (from June to September). Duration: 5-6 hours, medium effort, uphill/downhill walk: 800 m/ 800 m, appr. 14 km).

    Overnight at a local guesthouse from Bran area (eg. Magura mountain village). Home made dinner.

Day 2

Piatra Craiului National Park

  • We spend 3 days in Piatra Craiului National Park, one of the most beautiful mountains in Romania. Overnight at the same local guesthouse from Bran area (eg. Magura mountain village) with breakfast and dinner.

Day 3

Piatra Craiului National Park

  • We cross the authentic mountain villages from the bottom of the mountains and we walk in the epic Zarnesti Gorges! Easy to medium walk.

    Overnight at the same local guesthouse from Bran area (eg. Magura mountain village) with breakfast and dinner.

Day 4

Piatra Craiului National Park

  • Depending of the weather and you we climb the highest peak of the National Park (2238). It is a hard one, uphill 1200 m / downhill 1200 m. In case you are not fit for such a kind of hike we can do a different one.

  • Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
  • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
  • A moderate amount of hiking is involved; if we hike the highest peak the climbing it is a hard one (about 2 hours)
  • Dress warmly: Compulsory sturdy and waterproof hiking shoes; warm clothes recommended
