Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Tanzania

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Meet & Great and Transfer from the airport to Arusha Town.

    Overnight at Kahawa House OR [ ]  on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Basis.

Day 2
  • or Bicycle tour at Mto wa Mbu village

    In the morning start to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy the  sites of the Manyara Lake on its east and the Manyara Escarpment to its  west. Savour the day with Game Drives. Lunch in Manyara Serena Lodge. In the afternoon opt for one of the following cultural activities: Tuk Tuk sighting, Walking tour or Bicycle tour at Mto wa Mbu village.

Day 3

Manyara to Serengeti National park

  • After breakfast depart to Serengeti National Park, through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Experience Game viewing en route before arriving for lunch at your lodge.

    Overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp OR Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. 

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

Day 4

  • Enjoy full day of Game Drives in Serengeti National Park. The vast, seemingly endless plains are inhabited during the world-renowned great migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. Worry not! - The Game  Viewing does not end here, as there is plenty more to site: Elephants,  Giraffes, Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs.

    Overnight: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp OR Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 5
  • your Lodge

    After an early breakfast depart for the Entrance Gate of Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Crater. Ngorongoro Crater offers a large variety of animals due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Watch out for the BIG FIVE - lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Continue to your Lodge for a private dinner.

Day 6

Experience Lake Eyasi
  • semi-nomadic pastoralisation Datoga People in their traditional mud-hut

    After breakfast depart for Lake Eyasi; a dry area of desolate beauty, which offers a great natural and cultural experience. This area is home to the Hadzabe Bushmen; a nomadic tribe that hangs tenaciously on their hunting and gathering life style. Learn about the tribes hunting techniques and participate in the daily routines within their settlement.

    In the afternoon visit the semi-nomadic pastoralisation Datoga People in their traditional mud-hut. The women are decorated with beautifying facial scarification and the young and fierce warriors stand guard over their herd. Return to Karatu in the late afternoon.

Day 7
  • Depart with picnic-lunch for Game Drives at Tarangire National Park

    Depart with picnic-lunch for Game Drives at Tarangire National Park.  During the dry season from July to October the Tarangire River presents  the only water source inside the National Park and animals like  elephants, giraffes, zebra, buffalo and many more gather around the  river. Of course, the predators are not far away!

Day 8

Tarangire to Arusha Town
  • Emusoi Educational Project* (focused on the education of Masai Girls)*

    In the morning enjoy a guided Bush Walk in Tarangire.  Although Game Viewing is often more difficult on foot sightings, the  experience can still be incredibly rewarding. Transfer to Arusha for  Lunch and in the afternoon visit Emusoi Educational Project* (focused on the education of Masai Girls)*.

    Overnight: Kahawa House OR Gran Melia Arusha Hotel

Day 9

Kwaheri (Departure in Swahili)
