Why we love it?

Explore Iceland’s Golden Circle in a private Land Rover Defender Super Jeep designed for comfort and stability, allowing access to key sights like Þingvellir National Park, where tectonic plates meet in a UNESCO World Heritage Site rift valley. Visit the Geysir Geothermal Area to see Strokkur’s regular eruptions, then continue to the powerful Gullfoss Waterfall and the quieter Faxi Waterfall for contrasting natural experiences. The tour also includes a stop at the Kerið Volcanic Crater, with its vivid red slopes and deep blue lake, offering panoramic views from the walking path. Departing in the late afternoon from Reykjavík, this 6.5-hour journey lets you enjoy these iconic locations in the softer, less crowded evening light, accompanied by a professional English-speaking guide and private transport exclusive to your group.

Itinerary

Pick-up in the Capital Area

Your driver picks you up at your accommodation or any address in the Capital Area.

Þingvellir National Park

UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Alþingi, the world's oldest parliament, was founded in 930 AD. Walk through the Almannagjá rift between the North American and Eurasian plates and see Öxarárfoss waterfall. In the evening the park is quiet.

Icelandic Horses

On the way from Þingvellir to Geysir you stop by a field of Icelandic horses. Small, sturdy and famously friendly, they have lived here since the Viking Age and often come over to the fence to say hello.

Gullfoss Waterfall

The Hvítá river drops in two stages into a deep canyon. In the low evening sun the spray often carries a rainbow.

Geysir Geothermal Area

Strokkur erupts every few minutes among steaming vents and hot pools. The area is far quieter in the evening than during the day.

Kerið Crater

A volcanic crater about 3,000 years old, with red scoria walls and a green lake at the bottom. Walk the rim or down to the water.

Drop-off in the Capital Area

Return to your accommodation or any address in the Capital Area.
