Itinerary
1-Day Lake Nakuru National Park Safari
06:00 AM – Pick up from Nairobi
Depart early in the morning from your Nairobi hotel/residence. Drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment, making a brief stop at a viewpoint for photography.
09:00 AM – Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park
Enter the park and begin your morning game drive. Explore the diverse landscapes, from acacia forests to the famous soda lake, which is often dotted with flamingos. Look out for white and black rhinos, lions, Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, and waterbucks.
12:30 PM – Lunch
Enjoy lunch at a lodge inside or near the park. This also gives you time to relax before the afternoon game drive.
02:00 PM – Afternoon Game Drive
Continue exploring the park. Visit the lake shores to spot flamingos, pelicans, and other birdlife. Drive to Baboon Cliff Viewpoint for panoramic views of the park and the shimmering lake below.
03:30 PM – Final Game Drive & Exit
As you head out, keep an eye out for leopards (often found in the trees) and rhinos grazing.
04:00 PM – Depart for Nairobi
Drive back via the Great Rift Valley, arriving in Nairobi in the early evening.
06:30 – 07:00 PM – Drop off in Nairobi
You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or residence after a full day of safari adventure.
