Angurukaramulla Temple

Negombo Beach

Dutch Fort
The ruins of the old Dutch fort are located near the lagoon’s mouth dating back to 1678. However, no one can peek into the insides as the fort now serves as the prison. Esplanade is a green zone that goes by the fortress for cricket matches.
Hamilton Canal Boat Trip
Hamilton canal is an approximate 14.5 km waterway built by Dutch and later reconstructed by the British. Take a boat ride down the canal, named after Gavin Hamilton, a British officer, to watch some of the excellent Eco-friendly habitats and most scenic views combined with the culture and life of the fisher folk on the banks. A Marshland of Sri Lanka, Muthurajawela is located in the south of Negombo. The Muthurajawela sanctuary is rich in different types of medicinal plants and mangroves. You’ll also find various kinds of birds such as Egrets, Storks, Eagles, Terns, Cormorants, Ducks, Swallows, Swifts, Kingfishers, and a lot more.
