Nine Arch Bridge
Also famous as the Bridge in the Sky, the Nine Arch Bridge is a world-known bridge outside Ella Town. The piece of stunning architecture is renowned for its super tall arches hidden among the green tea plantations. Walk on top of the arches and absorb the tea fields’ breathtaking scenery below and a glimpse of mountains overhead. Makes sure to snap some perfect shots with the iconic blue train on the bridge.
Ella Rock
Apparently, Ella is the town of heights. Ella Rock is another challenging hike awaiting you in the town. Ensure that you’re not suffering from acrophobia since it’s a much more significant challenge than the Little Adam’s Peak. It takes about 2 hours to reach the top, but really worth it! Wednesday morning Market is a small bazaar in Ella in Passara Road, where people sell fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, and clothes on small stalls. Take a stroll in the market and explore the local Sri Lankan culture and food.
Diyaluma Falls
Diyaluma Falls, located a few further away from the town comparing Ravana Falls, is a natural water sport destination. You can swim at the top of Diyaluma Falls in the rock pools and simultaneously soak in the epic and breathtaking views. There are also three smaller waterfalls and a 7m-jump spot to dive into the waterfall.
