Tour Plan
safari tour at Yala National Park and witnessing the wide range of animals such as leopards, bears, elephants, deer, crocodiles, and many more who roam freely in the wild. Yala National Park is a national park in Sri Lanka. The reserve covers 979 km², although only the original 141 km² are open to the public. It was established in 1894 as a Game Sanctuary. Much of the reserve is parkland, but it also contains jungle, beaches, freshwater lakes and rivers and scrubland. The latter zone is punctuated with enormous rocky outcrops. The range of habitats give rise to a good range of wildlife. The Yala National Park Safari Tour from Ella brings you the great opportunity of experiencing a soothing village environment along with the rich cultural composition of Yala.

The moment I entered Yala National Park, the anticipation was palpable, especially as I spotted a leopard lounging on a rock, completely unfazed by my presence. Nuwara Eliya’s lush surroundings added a beautiful backdrop to the diverse wildlife I encountered, from elephants grazing to vibrant birds flitting about. I did find the journey a bit long, and the bumpy roads made it less comfortable, but the sights certainly made it worthwhile.

Exploring Yala National Park was an unforgettable adventure for our group of friends, especially spotting leopards lounging in the trees! The thrill of encountering various wildlife up close made the long drive from Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka worthwhile. We did wish the lunch break had been a bit longer, but overall, the day was filled with incredible sights and a sense of adventure that we all cherished!

Our group was captivated by the thrill of spotting leopards amidst the lush landscape, a highlight that truly made the lengthy drive worthwhile. The safari experience was well organized, but we found the vehicle a bit cramped for the six of us, which made it tough to capture every moment on camera. Overall, we left with unforgettable memories of the wildlife and beautiful scenery, and we’re glad we decided to take this adventure together.
