Tour Plan

If your hotel is not listed, please contact us to set up the most comfortable pick-up point.

Grzybowski Square - introduction to the city
It’s good to have a decent start - the guide takes you to the Grzybowski square. It represents Warsaw in a nutshell- the city that changed dramatically during the XX Century, witnessed two World wars, two totalitarian systems, and, finally, incredible recovery and growth thanks to uniting Europe in the early XXI Century.

Student's community pubs - 1st drink
We do not want to take you to the mainstream pubs - we expect something more than that. So the first vodka shot happens at Pavilions, a group of over twenty neighbouring pubs, most of which have been set up by the student’s community in abandoned small stores and artisans workshops. It is a small community of individuals who collectively hold a strong position on Warsaw’s cultural and party map.

Communist Warsaw
After the first round of drinks, you are prepared to learn a bit more about communism in Poland. Your Żuk minibus is parked in front of the communist party headquarters, the exceptional structure that looks like a bank HQ, although it was filled with the people who barely graduated primary schools. Then, after 1989, the re-born Warsaw Stock Exchange entered the place - the history once again sneered at the past.

Praga district - a non-mainstream part of the city
It’s time to take a ride across the city and over the Vistula river to Paga, the only complete and original pre-WWII district of Warsaw. It used to be a derelict and not a friendly place back in the days, thanks to the lack of investments, production of illegal alcohol and all kinds of businesses related to the black market. Luckily, the last 15 years have been a time of revival; non-mainstream culture came over the Praga, independent pubs, bars and restaurants have filled the streets and brought them back to life.

Praga district - 2nd drink
One of the independent pubs at Praga is a perfect spot for the second vodka shot. The place might be a bit weird; it might be filled with local strangers - but for sure, you will not find a place like that in the city centre.

Drink no. 3: Open-air bars (summer) or pubs in the city center (winter)
It is worth visiting Vistula riverside bars for the third drink in the summertime. Did you know that drinking in public is illegal in Poland? Well, that upsets us too. Nevertheless, lawyers found a loophole and proved that the riverside is not a public space since it’s a part of the river bottom, and you’re free to drink there whatever you want. Brilliant solution! After the summer season, your guide takes you to one of the bars in the central districts of Warsaw.

Drop off: spot chosen by you
Our guide will drop you off at the spot chosen by you, within the limits of the city centre.

Hotel pickup

Your guide picks you up from a centrally located hotel in a retro Żuk minibus. Hotel pickup and drop-off are available for selected central hotels. If your hotel is not listed, a convenient meeting point will be arranged.

Grzybowski Square - introduction to the city

The tour begins at Grzybowski Square, a place that perfectly reflects Warsaw’s turbulent 20th-century history. This area witnessed two world wars, two totalitarian systems, and—finally—remarkable recovery and growth in modern Europe.

Pavilions – First Vodka Shot

Instead of mainstream pubs, your first stop is the Pavilions—a cluster of over 20 small bars created in former workshops and shops. Originally shaped by the student community, this lively area holds a special place on Warsaw’s cultural and nightlife map. Here, you’ll enjoy your first vodka shot.

Communist Party Headquarters

After the first drink, the tour continues with a deeper look at communist-era Poland. Stop near the former Communist Party headquarters—an imposing building later taken over by the Warsaw Stock Exchange after 1989, offering a striking symbol of political and economic change.

Drive to Praga – Across the Vistula River

Cross the Vistula River to Praga, the only district of Warsaw that survived WWII largely intact. Once neglected and associated with illegal alcohol production and black-market trade, Praga has undergone a major revival over the past 15 years.

Praga Bars – Second Vodka Shot

Visit one of Praga’s independent bars for your second vodka shot. This is a place you won’t find in the city center—authentic, slightly eccentric, and full of local character.

Vistula Riverside or Central Bar – Third Drink

In summer, the final stop takes place at riverside bars along the Vistula—one of Warsaw’s favorite evening hangouts. Outside the summer season, the tour ends at a carefully selected bar in central Warsaw.

Drop off: spot chosen by you

Our guide will drop you off at the spot chosen by you, within the limits of the city centre.

Exploring the nightlife in Warsaw was a fantastic experience, especially with the convenience of hotel pickup. We loved discovering local pubs and the rich history behind them, though the pace felt a bit rushed at times.

We had a fantastic evening discovering the local pub scene while learning about the rich history surrounding us. Our guide picked us up right from our hotel, which made everything super convenient. While some of the pubs were a bit crowded, the atmosphere was lively, and we especially loved trying the traditional drinks and chatting with locals.

I had a fantastic time uncovering Warsaw’s vibrant pub scene, and the hotel pickup made it all so convenient. While the history shared by the guide was fascinating, a few of the bars felt a bit too touristy for my liking.
