General Information of Shanghai Disneyland
Shanghai Disneyland construction area covers around 116 hectares (287 acres). This complex opened in June 2016 as the second Disney Resort in all of China’s mainland and the sixth one in the world. Also, the Enchanted Storybook Castle located inside the park is the largest in the world.
Shanghai Disneyland is divided into different parts including Shanghai Disneyland Park, two Disney Resort Hotels, Disney Town, etc. Between all of these parts, the main attraction for travelers is the Shanghai Disneyland Park, where different activities are combined with different themes and characters.
Here, movie figures are combined with Chinese elements to make a different feeling in contrast with the other Disney theme parks. The Shanghai Disney Park is divided into seven theme lands:

- Tomorrowland
- Adventure Isle

The park officials have announced that an eight themed area based on Disney’s Zootopia is going to be built in the park.

Mickey Ave
It’s the first happy place you would encounter as you enter the magical kingdom. Mickey Avenue, as its name suggest, is the place for Disney classic characters, Mickey Mouse, Mini Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Chip ‘N Dale.
When you enter this part, you would be moved by remembering many memories of these nostalgic characters. If lucky, you would also see your favorite character and take a selfie too. This bustling street also has many featured shops, and you even can have a pie in this Dreamy environment.
Gardens of Imagination
As you continue on Mickey Avenue, you would reach the “Gardens of Imagination”, the hub in Shanghai Disneyland Park. This green area is marvelously designed with seven magical gardens created with happiness, kinship, and friendship themes.
Animals of Chinese Zodiac
It’s a Disneyland Park in China, so it is expected to have Chinese symbols inside. A good example here is the “Twelve Animals of Chinese Zodiac” where you can see a collection of Disney Characters with Chinese Zodiac.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant,

Fantasyland
Fantasyland is one of the tallest, largest, and most interactive Disney castles in the world. To enjoy a magnificent view of this fair land, you can climb up to the castle.
Disneyland Castle in Shanghai
Alice in Wonderland Maze
In this part of the park, you can experience Alice in Wonderland Maze. Here you need to find your way through Alice’s Wonderland and a magical place where Alice and her pals such as Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat are awaiting you. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 19:00.
Hunny Pot Spin
Here you can also see Winnie the Pooh in Hunny Pot Spin, get into giant spinning jars, and look for the precious nectar. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Continue to the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh to enjoy Winnie Pooh’s delightful world. Here you can also see Eeyore, Tigger, Kanga, Gopher, tiny Roo too, and Piglet. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.
Once Upon a Time Adventure
Visit Snow White’s World of fantasy and enjoy all of its fairy beauties in Once Upon a Time Adventure. You can also take part in Snow White’s adventure by entering the chamber and letting the Enchanted Storybook summon you. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.
In Fantasyland, there are also other activities like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Voyage to the Crystal Grotto.
Treasure Cove
As the name suggests, this part has a pirate theme and is from the 18th century on a Caribbean island that Captain Jack Sparrow has captured.
Explorer Canoes
Here you can get aboard Explorer Canoes and paddle through to explore shipwrecks, forbidding jungles, plantations, and treasure caves. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 18:00.
Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure
Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure is an opportunity to sail together with Captain Jack Sparrow and come across mermaids, other pirates, and maybe even Kraken! This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 20:00.
Shipwreck Shore
The other attraction of this area is Shipwreck Shore. Here, children of all ages can experience the excitement of a fantasy world. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.

This is a magical land where there are hidden treasures and old tribes live. This is a place for lovers of adventure, and those want excitement.
Soaring Over the Horizon
In Soaring Over the Horizon, you feel the wind in your face. You will fly to beautiful landmarks, natural attractions, and cities. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.
Camp Discovery
Camp Discovery is the experience in Roaring Mountain for those who want to go over waterfalls and cliffs. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00. For this one, you need to be at least 107 centimeters (3 feet and 6 inches).
Roaring Rapids
If you want to enjoy a thrilling rafting expedition, Roaring Rapids is the place to go. Here, you can pass through dangers to sail to and explore an ancient legend and mystery of Adventure. To enjoy the rafting experience here and find clues along the water, you will need to be at least 107 cm (3 feet and 6 inches). This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.
Tomorrowland
Here is the futuristic-themed land of Shanghai Disneyland Park, where you can see how the future could look like. It shows a fantastic designو which has integrated human, technology, and nature all in the same place.
Tron Lightcycle Power Run
For those who enjoy speed, dip, and dive at the same time, Tron Lightcycle Power Run is the attraction to visit. Keep in mind that to do such actions, you need to be at least 122 centimeters (4 feet) tall. This attraction is available to you from 08:30 to 21:00.
Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue
If you are a Toy Story lover, you will enjoy the Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue. Here you would brief with Buzz and head to Zurg’s hideout on your ship. This attraction is available to you from 09:00 to 21:00.
Jet Packs
Jet Packs are for the ones who like to experience something exceptional. This is the complex to dance, floating around, and sail through the air. Wars Launch Bay
Star Wars fans would enjoy visiting the Star Wars Launch Bay to have a closer look at its iconic characters. This attraction is available to you from 09:30 to 21:00.
Stitch Encounter
Video chat with Stich, aka Experiment 626 in the Stitch Encounter, and see how this animated alien messes everything in the Galactic Federation. This attraction is available to you from 10:00 to 20:00.
Shanghai Disneyland Dining and Food
Like many other Disneyland parks around the world, you can go for choices toward western cuisine. Here, you have the chance to go for some Chinese food too and even try a Cantonese tea house. There are also other choices such as Thai cuisine and Japanese cuisine too.

Shanghai Disneyland Resort
You have two choices to stay in the magical kingdom of Shanghai Disney Resort, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, or Toy Story Hotel. Both of these two hotels offer dining services.
Shanghai Disneyland Hotel
Shanghai Disneyland Hotel delivers a more luxurious feel along with elegant furnishings, magical amenities, first-class service, and Disney extras. It also faces a beautiful lake which adds to its enchantment.
The Toy Story Hotel
The Toy Story Hotel has a different vibe and is a Disney Pixar film series inspired. It’s a world of imagination where you can find adventure all around.
How much time to visit Shanghai Disneyland Park?
If you want to check out the park and its significant sites casually, one day is quite enough to have a memorable day. However, if you are a Disney fan, you may need two days to get the experience you deserve in this magical kingdom. In two days, you can do and experience about 90 percent of the park.
Do not think that you can feel the magic in Shanghai Disneyland Park in just a couple of hours, set a day aside, and enjoy a fun and fantastic day.

Shanghai Disneyland is located at No. 310 Huang Zhao Road, Chuansha Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai.
From Shanghai
Metro
You can use line 11 and get off the Disney Park Station. You will need 5 minutes walking to arrive.
Bus
You can use line Pudong 50, Pudong 51, or Pudong 52 and get off at South Public Transit Hub. You will need to walk for 1 mile or 1.6 km to the park.
Taxi
You can pay 130 Yuan to take a taxi from downtown to the park.
From Hangzhou
In Hangzhou Passenger Transport Central Station, you can have a tour bus to the Shanghai Disneyland Park at 07:30 every day. You’ll need to pay 100 Yuan and it takes about 2.5 hours. For a one-day and two-day round trip you will need to pay 160 Yuan.

Tips
- Time management is the key to have a memorable time in the Disney park. As the park is usually crowded, your plan should be well-arranged.
- Try to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers because you will have a long way to walk in the park
- Bringing selfie sticks, large tripods, folding chairs, and luggage over the size of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm are not allowed to bring in the park. Also, you should not bring your pets to the park.
- If your kid is over 16, he/she will not be allowed to use the costumes of characters in cartoons, movies, and comics.
- There is a Wheelchair and Pram Rental Station and you need to pay 50 Yuan for a pram and 40 Yuan for a wheelchair in one day.
