Arrabida Natural Park

Take spectacular photos of the Arrábida Natural Park over the Atlantic Ocean

Sesimbra Village

Sesimbra is a photogenic town that attracts both Lisbon residents and other tourists. This town, which has been dedicated to fishing for centuries, has a beautiful and bright fishing port, where you can see the funny boats; the sand is fine and golden and the waters are turquoise; There is an interesting architectural heritage, dominated by the Castle of Sesimbra, of Arab origin and located on a hill next to the town.

(Possible lunch stop included)

Sesimbra Castle

Perched atop a rugged promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Sesimbra Castle dates back to the 12th century and was originally constructed by the Order of Santiago to guard the Portuguese coastline against Muslim incursions and pirate raids. Its sturdy rammed-earth walls, imposing towers, and underground cistern reflect centuries of strategic importance. Inside, you’ll discover archaeological remains from earlier fortified settlements, including traces of a pre-Roman castro. From the battlements, panoramic views stretch across the whitewashed village of Sesimbra, the sweeping bay, and the verdant Arrábida hills—offering both a glance into Portugal’s martial past and a breathtaking coastal vista.

Cabo Espichel

Cabo Espichel is a captivating tourist destination that combines history and stunning landscapes. It stands out for the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo, a 17th century church, and the lighthouse built in the 18th century. In addition to its historical heritage, it offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, hiking trails and a peaceful atmosphere. The place is ideal for enjoying the sunset and exploring the local biodiversity. Open to the public, Cabo Espichel is a diverse destination, attracting history enthusiasts and nature lovers, providing a unique experience on the Portuguese coast.

Foz Beach

Tucked away at the southern edge of Arrábida Natural Park in Sesimbra, Praia da Foz is a small, sheltered cove framed by towering limestone cliffs. A short, flat walk from the adjacent parking area brings you onto its golden sands, where the cliffs serve as a natural windbreak against the region’s northerly breezes.
Unofficial and unguarded, the beach remains free of sunbeds or kiosks, preserving its wild character and making it an ideal spot for a peaceful sunset stroll—just be mindful of stronger currents on its clear Atlantic waters

Christ the King

An unmissable tourist spot, both for its spaciousness and peaceful atmosphere and for the beautiful view and monuments around it, one of the ideal places to watch the sunset over Lisbon
