Cambodia is a land of water and the perfect place to experience an exciting boat trip. Treat yourself a taste of a serene atmosphere with a boat trip on the Mekong River from Phnom Penh, which will bring you to rural countryside, farms and orchards, a silk weaving village and the scenic Silk Island.
Boat Trip - Koh Dach (Silk Island) & Preak Bang Kang - Phnom Penh
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel between 08:00 – 08:30 for heading to the Phnom Penh port. After embarking the boat, a continental breakfast will be served as you enjoy the stunning view to the river.
First stop will be the Prek Boeung Kong island to visit a silk weaving house. In here you can admire an exhibition of silk development starting from the worm, to a cocoon then the final silk craft. Later we pay a visit to Boeung Kong Pagoda.
Back to the boat, we sail to Koh Dach Beach, a great place which the locals choose for family gathers, and have some time for relaxing leisurely. Lunch will be served on board.
After lunch, we will sail back to Phnom Penh with drinks on the way. Disembarking the boat at around 03:30 P.M., a car will take you back to your hotel. Time to say good bye.

The boat trip to Silk Island was visually stunning, with lush greenery and calm waters setting the scene for a relaxing day. I appreciated the chance to see local life along the riverbanks, though the narration could have been more engaging. The travel experience to Preak Bang Kang was smooth, and I felt comfortable throughout the journey. However, I wish there had been a bit more time to explore the island itself. Overall, it was a memorable escape from the hustle of Phnom Penh, offering a nice blend of scenery and culture.

Our day on the boat was truly memorable, gliding along the waterways and soaking in the serene scenery of Silk Island and Preak Bang Kang. The gentle breeze and the sound of the water created a relaxing atmosphere, but we did find the transportation back a bit cramped. Overall, this trip offered a wonderful glimpse into local life and the beauty surrounding Phnom Penh.
