Exploring the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was the highlight of our layover in Beijing; we loved hiking along the ancient stones while soaking in the breathtaking views. Our guide was friendly and shared fascinating stories, but we wished we had a bit more time to explore the area at our own pace.

The private tour to the ancient fortification was an unexpected gem during my layover. I appreciated the personalized attention and the chance to explore the breathtaking views without the usual crowds. My only suggestion would be to include a bit more historical context about the site to enhance the experience even further.

During our layover, we took a private tour to Mutianyu and were captivated by the stunning views of the Great Wall and the surrounding mountains. It would have been even better if we had a bit more time to explore the area, but the experience was a perfect way to break up our day of travel.
