Day 1 Aswan

After meeting with your Egyptologist at a hotel in Aswan or Aswan Airport, you will begin your trip with a visit to the Aswan Dam, or more specifically since the 1960s, the Aswan High Dam, is an earthen dam built on the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt, between... 1960 and 1970. Its importance was considerably greater than that of the earlier low-lying Aswan Dam which was completed in 1902 downstream.
After visiting the Aswan Dam, go to visit the Philae Temple on Philae Island, which is an island located in the Aswan Dam reservoir, below the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser in Egypt. Philae Island was originally located near the first wide cataract of the Nile River in Upper Egypt and was the site of an Egyptian temple complex. After that, head to have lunch in one of the local restaurants and then go to the hotel.

Day 2 Abu-simple temple

Early in the morning with your breakfast and then go with your private tour guide to visit the ancient archaeological site, Abu Simbel Temple. There you will visit two huge rock temples in Abu Simbel, the twin temple as it was originally carved out of the side of the mountain during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the century 30 BC, as a permanent monument to himself and his wife, Queen Nefertari, to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. Then return to Aswan for your lunch, then continue driving to the departure point again

Our two-day journey through Aswan in Egypt was a captivating dive into ancient wonders, particularly at the awe-inspiring temples of Abu Simbel. The private tour allowed us to explore at our own pace, and our guide shared fascinating stories that deepened our appreciation for the history surrounding us. We appreciated the cozy accommodations that made for a comfortable stay, although a few more dining options nearby would have enhanced our experience.

Exploring the temples of Abu Simbel was a breathtaking experience that truly brought the ancient history of Aswan to life. Our accommodations were comfortable, though we felt a bit rushed at times; a little more time to soak in the atmosphere would have made it even better.

I had an unforgettable time immersing myself in the rich history and breathtaking architecture of the ancient sites, which felt like stepping back in time. The private aspect of the tour was a game-changer; my guide was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about the stories behind each temple. Meals were a delight too; I savored some local cuisine that perfectly complemented the adventure, though I wish there had been more time to explore the markets for snacks along the way.

We had an incredible time exploring the ancient wonders on this two-day adventure. One highlight was our private breakfast by the river, where we enjoyed fresh fruits and local pastries while soaking in the stunning views. The temples left us in awe, especially standing before the majestic sculptures and learning the fascinating history that surrounds them; if only our guide had spent a bit more time on some of the lesser-known stories, it would have made the experience even richer.
