Jamacho monastery is at the elevation of 1500m which is one of the most popular, short and easy hiking near Kathmandu. Nagarjuna hill, also known as Vindya Mountain, is the most popular pilgrimage sites for Hindus as well as Buddhist. On this day hiking tour we will hike through Shivapuri National Park and pay homage to Nagarjuna Buddha.
On the hill top of Nagarjuna, you will find the small statue of Nagarjuna Buddha on the beautiful Jamacho Monastery. On the east side of the stupa there are two rows of Buddhist gods and goddesses. In the first row Mahankala is in meditation pose and third Vasundhara while second row includes white Tara, Padmapani green Tara, and Vajrapani.
If luck favors, you can enjoy magnificent views of Annapurna Himalayan Range, Manaslu Himalayan Range and Langtang Himalayan Range from the top of the hills.
Enjoy the serene beauty, the spiritual vibes, and the refreshing hike!

We had an amazing time hiking through the trails leading to Jamacho Gumba, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Kathmandu valley. The blend of nature and spirituality here is truly unique, providing a perfect escape from our busy schedules. One suggestion would be to include more time at the gumba itself, as we could have enjoyed the peaceful ambiance a bit longer.

The hike to Jamacho Gumba was a delightful blend of physical activity and spiritual exploration, offering us a unique glimpse into the serene beauty surrounding Kathmandu. As we made our way up Nagarjun, the lush greenery enveloped us, punctuated by the distant sounds of temple bells, which made the journey feel both invigorating and reflective. The views from the top were nothing short of spectacular; we found ourselves gazing over the cityscape and the majestic Himalayas stretching out into the horizon.
Engaging with the local guides added depth to our experience, as their stories enriched our understanding of the cultural significance of the gumba. We appreciated the smooth transportation arrangements, which made getting to the trailhead hassle-free, allowing us to focus on the hike itself. The only suggestion we would offer is to provide more detailed directions for the final ascent, as the path could be a bit tricky to navigate. Overall, this day was a wonderful escape from the bustling city life, leaving us with lasting memories of both nature and spirituality.

The breathtaking views during my ascent were only matched by the tranquil atmosphere at the gompa, where I took a moment to meditate and soak in the spiritual energy.
