Patan an independent and mighty kingdom of the Kathmandu is merely 5 km away from the capital , Kathmandu, but, despite such proximity, its 'preserved' ancestral uniqueness distinguishes Patan as a different environment to experience in a short travel. Patan is a melting pot of two influential religions, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Patan is also known as Lalitpur, "City of Beauty", and its unique Durbar Squares, temples, alleys, cuisine, hospitality and religious tolerance justify the pre-historic status of the city. The pious Krishna (Hindu) temple, which rests in the middle of the town; into the very own town, whose entire city's architecture was dedicated to the philosophy of the Buddhist Dharma-Chakra (Wheel of Righteousness) molds Patan, to this date, as a glorious city of culture, religion, art, and heritage. Patan is a city of 55 major temples, 136 Buddhist monasteries, fine metal works, and countless festivals. Patan takes pride in producing great Thanka painters in the country.

The cultural encounters we experienced on our trek were simply unforgettable, especially the warm hospitality of the locals in the mountain villages. Each day brought stunning views, from lush green valleys to towering peaks, and the diverse landscapes kept us in awe. One small improvement could be having a bit more variety in our meal options, but overall, the local cuisine added so much flavor to our adventure in Kathmandu and beyond.

The trek offered a fantastic mix of stunning views and cultural immersion that truly highlighted Nepal’s beauty. Our accommodations were comfortable and provided a perfect base to rest after long days of trekking. One small improvement would be to enhance the meal options to include more local dishes, but overall, the experience was memorable and enriching.

Our journey was filled with stunning landscapes that exceeded our expectations and made each day feel like a new adventure. The nights spent in local lodges allowed us to immerse ourselves in the culture, with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the pace of the trek; a slightly more relaxed schedule could have enhanced our overall experience.
