Miraflores Meeting Point
The tour starts at our meeting point in the heart of Miraflores,
Barranco
We will be strolling through the waterfront promenade with impressive sea views, until we are going to reach the district of Barranco to enjoy its colorful streets, and visiting the beautiful Bridge of Sighs.
Built in 1876 and over the “lowered of the baths”, this traditional wooden bridge links the district’s gorge. It is said that if you cross the bridge holding you breathe, you can make a wish and it would come true.
Morro Solar Chorrillos
Then, we will continue riding until the Morro Solar Hill in Chorrillos, historic place that was the scene of the Pacific War between Peru, Bolivia and Chile, and where you can see the Planetarium, the Pope’s Cross and the Christ Statue.
From this part, you’ll have an amazing view of the coast of Lima, and if we have a clear day, we are going to have the opportunity to see the coast of Callao. Before the end, we will rest in a local restaurant to enjoy one refreshment.
Then, we will start the return to the meeting point in Miraflores.

Pedaling through the vibrant streets of Chorrillos and into the artistic lanes of Barranco was an incredible way to immerse myself in the local culture. I particularly loved the stop at a small café where I savored a delicious pisco sour while soaking up the lively atmosphere. The blend of stunning ocean views and colorful murals made for a picturesque ride, though at times the traffic felt a bit overwhelming. Overall, I appreciated the opportunity to explore both Miraflores and Barranco on two wheels, capturing the essence of Lima’s coastal charm. Just a couple of minor adjustments to the route could enhance the experience, but it was a fulfilling adventure nonetheless.

We had a blast biking along the coast and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the neighborhoods we visited. While the paths were mostly smooth, a few stretches could use better signage for the less experienced riders.

Exploring the stunning coastal paths of Chorrillos in Peru with friends was a blast, especially as we pedaled through the vibrant neighborhoods of Miraflores and Barranco. The highlight was definitely stopping by the art-filled streets of Barranco and snapping photos while indulging in some local snacks. While we loved the freedom of biking, a couple of our group wished for a bit more guidance on the route since it felt like we were navigating a bit too much on our own at times.
