Old Tbilisi (Georgian: ძველი თბილისი, dzveli t'bilisi) was an administrative district (raioni) in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, from 2007 to 2013. Although the term "Old Tbilisi" has long been used to denote a historical part of the city, it was only in 2007 that it became a distinct administrative entity to incorporate several historical neighbourhoods formerly included in the districts of Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi, Isani-Samgori, and Didube-Chughureti. The district was abolished in 2013, with its territories allotted to several other divisions of the capital.

We had an amazing time on our horseback riding journey through Georgia’s national parks, with breathtaking vistas at every turn. The local meals were a highlight, offering us a delicious taste of regional flavors, but we wished there had been more variety in our options throughout the week. Overall, the stunning scenery and camaraderie among our group made for a memorable adventure, even if a couple of long rides left us a bit tired by day’s end.

Exploring Georgia’s national parks on horseback was a breathtaking experience for our family, with stunning scenery that truly surpassed our expectations. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, allowing us to rest well after long days of riding through the picturesque landscapes. While the itinerary was mostly well-paced, we found that some days felt a bit rushed, leaving us wanting more time to soak in the beauty around us.

I had an incredible time on my horseback riding journey through the national parks around Tbilisi. The stunning scenery consistently took my breath away, especially during the serene evenings spent camping under the stars. While the trails offered both challenge and beauty, there were moments when I felt the need for more detailed guidance from the local guides.

Riding through the stunning landscapes of Tbilisi in Georgia was an unforgettable experience, especially when I stopped for a picnic featuring local cheeses and fresh bread. The only downside was the occasional language barrier with some guides, but their passion for the parks made up for it.

Taking a week to ride through Georgia’s breathtaking parks was a genuinely refreshing experience. I loved the sense of camaraderie among fellow riders during my evenings spent sharing stories around the campfire, which really brought the group together. One of my favorite moments was galloping through lush greenery with mountains as a backdrop, an absolutely stunning sight that will stay with me forever. The only hiccup was a couple of long stretches in the saddle that left me a bit sore, but those moments were quickly forgotten once I reached my overnight stops in charming local villages. Overall, this trip offered a lovely blend of adventure and cultural immersion that I would recommend to anyone looking for a unique getaway.
