Tour Plan
Ushuaia
We will start the tour with the pick up from your centrally located hotel. We will board a confortable mini-van and head to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, located only 30 minutes from the city centre.
Tierra del Fuego National Park
Once we arrive to the national park, the guide will choose the route—either the Pampa Alta or Senda Costera—depending on conditions and interests of the group. Pampa Alta, a 3-mile (5-km) trail that lasts approximately two hours, offers gorgeous vistas as well as bird watching. Senda Costera (Coastal Path) is a popular 4-mile (8-km) trail that takes you along the coast for about three hours. As you follow your guide, you’ll learn about the geography of the area as well as the nature and wildlife found in Tierra del Fuego National Park. Note the diverse flora and fauna, such as Antarctic beech, and perhaps find traces of ancient Yámanas settlements.
Lunch at the National Park
Reaching the banks of Lago Roca (Roca Lake), enjoy a complimentary lunch in the forest setting. Dine on chicken breast en papillote (baked in foil) with tomato and cheese, accompanied by mineral water, wine and soft drinks.
Lapataia River
After lunch, your guide will prepare your small group for the 1.5-hour canoe ride down the Lapataia River, which brings you to Lapataia Bay and the Beagle Channel. The remote bay, nestled amid snow-capped mountains, is a great place for spotting waterfowl such as ducks, geese and plovers that inhabit this region at the ‘end of the world’!
Ushuaia
The adventure tour culminates here, at the Panamerican Highway end, where you’ll hop aboard the minivan for the return trip to Ushuaia with drop-off at your hotel.

Our day spent hiking and canoeing amidst the stunning landscapes of Tierra del Fuego was genuinely memorable. We loved navigating the serene waters and taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests, particularly when we reached the iconic Laguna Verde. The hiking trails provided a perfect mix of challenge and beauty, although we did encounter a few muddy patches that slowed us down a bit. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making the experience even better as he shared stories about the unique flora and fauna. The only downside was that at times, the group felt a little large, which made it tricky to get those quieter moments in nature. Overall, it was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the park’s natural splendor and connect as a couple. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this adventure to anyone looking to explore the wild side of Ushuaia.

Exploring the wilderness with our friends was truly a highlight of our trip. We loved paddling through the serene waters, surrounded by stunning mountain views that felt like stepping into a postcard. The only hiccup was that the hiking trails could get a bit crowded at times, but the breathtaking sights made it totally worth it.

Hiking through the breathtaking landscapes of Tierra del Fuego National Park was a memorable experience for our family, especially the stunning views we encountered along the trails. Although the canoeing portion was relaxing, we found it a bit rushed compared to our time spent hiking, which left us wanting more of that peaceful exploration on the water.
