Pharping,19 km south of Kathmandu in Nepal, is known as the sacred site of Yangleshö, famous for both Hinduism and Buddhism where Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rimpoche, known as lotus born God who spread Tibetan Buddhism in Tibeat) attained the level of Mahamudra vidyadhara. Other important religious sites are Vajrayogini temple, Shesnarayan temple, Gorakhnath temple and self-arising Ganesh near Asura Cave. Further south lays Dakshinkali temple, the temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. Devotees sacrifice chickens, goats, sheep and many more as an offering to the goddess. Dakshinkali is famous as a blood thirsty incarnation of goddess Parvati, consort of Shiva. It is believed that Buddhist deity Manjushree cut out the hill at Chobhar and drained away the waters to establish a habitable land making a underground Palace at Taudaha Lake for all creatures including serpents to live there. It is the perfect place to have a peaceful time.

We had an unforgettable time exploring a land rich in culture and stunning landscapes over the course of nine days. Each day brought new delights, from vibrant local markets to serene temples nestled in the mountains, making every moment feel uniquely special. Our accommodations were cozy and welcoming, providing just the right balance between comfort and authenticity after long days of adventure. One area for improvement would be to offer more variety in meal options, as we found ourselves craving a little more diversity in flavors by the end of the trip. Overall, this journey was an incredible blend of natural wonders and cultural experiences that we will cherish for years to come.

Our journey through the cultural treasures of Bhutan and Nepal was nothing short of magical, especially when we visited a local monastery nestled in the Himalayas. The scenery was breathtaking, and staying at a cozy guesthouse in Thimphu really allowed us to immerse ourselves in the local culture while enjoying stunning views. One standout moment was sharing a traditional meal with our hosts, which felt like a genuine glimpse into their way of life. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, but we wished we had a bit more time for some of the attractions, as there was so much to explore. Overall, this trip offered us unforgettable experiences and a deeper appreciation for these remarkable countries.

We truly appreciated the rich cultural experiences this tour offered, from the stunning Himalayan vistas to the fascinating local traditions. The accommodations were comfortable and provided a great base for our explorations, allowing us to unwind after days filled with captivating sights. My only suggestion would be to include a bit more free time for personal exploration, as there were many treasures we wished we could linger over a bit longer.

Our experience in Thimphu was truly eye-opening, with each day offering a blend of Himalayan wonders and rich cultural insights. We especially loved exploring the local cuisine; the traditional momos and ema datshi were unforgettable and quickly became favorites at every meal. The balance of scheduled activities and free time allowed us to soak in the atmosphere and even engage with some locals, which added depth to our trip. One minor improvement could be having more options for vegetarian meals, but overall, the journey was a delightful adventure filled with treasures that felt both enriching and refreshing.
