Waking up to the mist rolling over the tea gardens was a surreal experience that I’ll cherish for years. Each day brought new scenic delights, and the tranquil beauty of Mai Pokhari was a perfect backdrop for quiet reflection. I found the locals incredibly welcoming, sharing stories that intertwined with the rich culture of Ilam. However, I wish the itinerary had allowed for a bit more time to wander through the gardens at my own pace. Overall, this journey offered an authentic glimpse into the serene life of the eastern hills, and I felt a deep connection to the land and its people.

From the moment I set foot in this charming region, I felt like I had stumbled upon a hidden gem. The views were nothing short of spectacular, especially from my cozy accommodation nestled amidst rolling hills and vibrant green tea gardens. Each morning, I woke up to the soft rustle of leaves and the occasional chirping of birds, which set the perfect tone for exploring the area. Mai Pokhari was a standout for me; I spent hours wandering around its serene waters, soaking in the peace and tranquility. The guided tours offered ample opportunities to connect with locals, who shared their stories and traditions, further enriching my experience. If I had to offer a suggestion, it would be to include a bit more free time in the itinerary; sometimes I craved the chance to just sit and soak it all in without a schedule. Overall, this trip left me with unforgettable memories and images that I will cherish for a long time.

Exploring the lush tea gardens and breathtaking views of Ilam was an experience I won’t soon forget. I stayed in a cozy guesthouse where the local hospitality made me feel right at home, and the stunning Mai Pokhari was a highlight that took my breath away. One small suggestion would be to add a little more time for leisurely walks through the gardens, as they were simply enchanting.
