Coricancha
We’ll pick you up from the hotel, and start the tour visiting the Temple of Coricancha, also known as Golden Temple. This symbolic place has a clear example of the fusion between Incan and Hispanic cultures, and during the Spanish conquer, the base of the temple was used to build the Church of Santo Domingo and its famous convent.
Main Square and Cathedral of Cusco
Then, we’re going to visit the Cathedral of Cusco located in the Main Square, declared as a World Cultural Heritage, as well as a Historic Monument of Peru. Here, you will appreciate a beautiful religious paintings of the Art School of Cusco.
Sacsayhuaman
The tour continues to the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, an amazing place with huge carved stones which fit each other in a perfect way, and it is said that it was built by more than 20 thousand men, and took over 70 years to finish it. Located 2 Km. away from the city of Cusco, this Incan Fortress has amazing landscapes, and it houses llamas and hawks.
Temple of Qenqo
Later, we will visit the religious temple of Qenqo, place where the Incas worshiped their Gods like the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. You will have an incredible experience exploring through its underground passageways, and admire a semicircular amphitheater.
Puca Pucara
We will continue this entertaining excursion in the military compound of Puca Pucara, which means “Red Fortress” for its reddish infrastructure.
Tambomachay
Then, we will go to the water’s worship center of Tambomachay, with aqueducts and waterfalls provided from nearby springs. Definitely, the Inca civilization had an advanced and surprising construction engineering. At the end, we will back to Plaza El Regocijo in Cusco city.

Exploring the ancient ruins with our guide was a highlight, as the stories behind each site truly brought the cultural heritage to life. While we appreciated the depth of the tour, the pacing felt a bit rushed at times, leaving us wanting to linger longer at some of the remarkable spots.

We had an amazing time wandering through the vibrant streets of Cusco in Peru, soaking in the rich cultural heritage that surrounds the city. Our guide was knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the Incan ruins we visited, which made the experience truly memorable. The transportation was comfortable, making it easy for us to transition from one site to another without feeling rushed, though we would have appreciated a bit more time at some of the ruins to soak it all in. Overall, it was a fantastic way to explore the city’s history, and we came away with plenty of great photos and stories to share. Just a couple of minor hiccups with timing prevented it from being perfect.

Our experience wandering through Cusco’s vibrant streets and visiting the impressive Sacsayhuamán was truly memorable, showcasing the city’s rich cultural heritage. While the pace felt a bit rushed at times, the insights from our guide made it easier to overlook, and we left with a deeper appreciation for the Incan ruins.
