We dove right into Lima’s culinary scene by sampling a variety of street food, and the anticuchos we tried were seriously unforgettable. Our guide was enthusiastic and shared fascinating stories about the historic center, but at times, it felt like we were rushed through some spots. Overall, it was a fantastic way to experience the local flavors with friends, even if we wished we could’ve lingered a bit longer at a couple of the stands.

We had an enjoyable time sampling local dishes, navigating through the bustling streets while soaking in the rich history around us. The highlight was definitely trying the street-cooked empanadas, which burst with flavor and authenticity. While the guide was knowledgeable, we felt that a bit more time at each stop would have allowed us to fully savor the experience.
