1st Stop - Historical center of lima
It is located in the district of Lima Metropolitan. It was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro and known as the "City of Kings" due to its important status as capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru from the mid-sixteenth century to 1821. The Historic Center of Lima retains until the today the most illustrious examples of Spanish monumental architecture. The most important historical monuments of public character are represented by numerous churches and convents, as well as mansions that preserve the tradition of the Hispano-American Baroque.

    2nd Stop - Barranco
The district of Barranco is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the Peruvian capital, in its streets filled with big houses, bars, restaurants and its bohemian atmosphere, they are a connection between the past and the present of Lima.

Among the attractions that stand out of this picturesque neighborhood, stand out the municipal square and its church, as well as different museums and the Temple of the Hermitage

    3erd Stop - Chinatown
Like Chinatowns in other countries, Lima’s Chinatown is a source of Chinese ingredients and a hub of Chinese cuisine. There are over 6000 Chinese restaurants in Lima called “Chifas”, and some of the most renown and venerable of these chinese eateries are located in Chinatown. The San Joy Lao, for example, was first established before 1920. Other notable chifas in the neighborhood include the Salón China, Wa Lok, and Sala Capón.

Exploring the vibrant streets of Jesús María was a delight, especially when we stumbled upon local artisans showcasing their work. While the culinary experiences were incredible, a longer shopping stop would have made it even better.

Wandering through Jesús María was a delightful experience, especially when I stumbled upon the local art galleries that showcased vibrant, contemporary pieces. I particularly loved the culinary stop at a quaint eatery where I savored a delicious dish of ceviche, a true Lima gem. However, I felt that the shopping aspect could have included a bit more variety; some stores were quite touristy and not very unique.

The day unfolded beautifully as I immersed myself in Lima’s fascinating cultural tapestry, filled with culinary delights and artistic treasures. One of the standout moments was visiting the historical Plaza San Martín, where the architecture alone told stories of the city’s past. The local markets were a joy to explore, bursting with vibrant colors and unique crafts that made for perfect souvenirs. While the guide was knowledgeable, I wished for a bit more time at each stop to soak in the atmosphere fully. Overall, this experience provided a satisfying blend of history, art, and gastronomy that truly showcased the charm of Jesús María in Peru.
