China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition (CIMES)

China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition is the third largest international exhibition for traders and manufacturers held in the city of Beijing. The capital of China has been the host of this international exhibition once every two years ever since 1992. The China International Machine Tool & Tool Exhibition (CIMES) has become an important part of international trade and domestic manufacturing. Up until the 14th session in 2018, 32 countries have participated in CIMES to introduce their new advancements, making more room for further developments as well as boosting their income during the exhibition.

China is currently the largest machine tool market and producer, offering a large variety of items in all quality levels for the consumers. The China National Machinery Industry Corporation has hosted this fair to boost business opportunities on a global scale as well as create a competitive environment inside China. The number of participants increases each exhibition, which is why it is expected to keep the increase to 1500 participants in 2020. The 2018 fair had brought 1200 participants from 32 countries and regions. These previous reports of an increase in numbers of participants and their media coverage are good reasons to believe that the 15th session will also go as planned.

Information for Visitors of CIMES

Due to the spread of the Corona Virus in 2020, the CIMES is postponed but not canceled. The exact date for the 2020 and the future CIMES exhibitions can be checked from the official website www.cimes.net.cn/en where you will also need to register and apply for an invitation.

Before registration, make plans on what kind of trade you want to make and look up the manufacturers you wish to visit. The exhibition floor covers an area of 120000 m2 which, does not take so much time to explore, but it will also not be a short visit. Plan ahead to priorities your visits and collect business cards both from the primary places you planned for, as well as other booths you may see as you walk the floor.

It is not recommended to visit without a precise timetable and plan. It is however recommended to bring a notebook to write down all the important details you may need in the future. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for a long walk in the CIMES and plan to bring a water bottle as well as snacks. Check for all the highlights, summits as well as seminars held in the exhibit to catch the ones you are interested in.

The visiting hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. but it is always best to arrive a little earlier to avoid a crowed and get to your planned businesses in time. You can apply online or buy tickets for entry at the site of the exhibition, but you must only enter if you have planned to do business in industrial machinery and tools.

Accommodations Near the CIMES

The CIMES will be held at the Beijing New China International Exhibition Center therefore, it is best to know some nearby hotels which are close to the site of the fair. The closest place to stay will be the Crowne Plaza Beijing International Airport, which is only a 10-minute walk to the destination. The second closest place is the GreenTree Inn Beijing Capital Airport New International Exhibition Center Express Hotel to minimize distance. Other than these two, Ibis Style Beijing Capital Airport hotel is the third recommendation in terms of being close to the exhibition.

There are of course many other places to stay but are further away. They do offer their own advantages, but booking a hotel near the CIMES means you may get a chance to reside near the leaders and owners of big enterprises and manufacturers. This kind of booking means that you may get a better chance of meeting them to talk about your business further, even outside the Exhibition Center.

As soon as you apply and plan to go for the fair, be sure to look for appropriate accommodations and plan your visit carefully. Should you require any assistance for your visit, check our tour packages here at Tripways.com or ask us for advice about the exhibition.
