    Day 2 Estancia Santa Susana

Depart Buenos Aires in a comfortable coach for the scenic ride through the Argentine pampas (plains) to Estancia Santa Susana, located in Los Cardales. When you arrive at this traditional Estancia (ranch), your day of gaucho fun begins with a friendly welcome reception at the ranch pub with Empanadas and wine.Take a guided tour to some of Santa Susana’s attractions, including its museum and church, before enjoying a horse-drawn carriage ride to explore the grounds of the ranch.Back at the ranch, tuck into a delicious parrillada (Argentina BBQ) lunch of grilled specialties such as sausages and chicken, accompanied by salad and beverages (red and white wine, soda, water and coffee). Then sip on a glass of Mate (an Argentine drink of Yerba mate leaves steeped in hot water) and finish with a Pastelito (pastry)!During lunch, be entertained by a tango and folk show of classical music and dance, and watch an exciting Boleadoras show, with throwing weapons used by gauchos. When you’re done eating, the real entertainment begins as you watch the gauchos show off their incredible ranch skills. I found myself captivated by the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes on this two-day adventure. Overnighting in a cozy lodge overlooking the Tigre Delta was a highlight, where I savored the peaceful ambiance and the sounds of nature. The gaucho experience was truly unforgettable; riding through the picturesque fields while learning about their traditions made me feel connected to the heart of Argentina. However, I did feel a bit rushed during the transition between activities, which left me craving more time to soak it all in. Despite this minor drawback, the combo of scenic beauty and rich culture left me buzzing with excitement as I explored Buenos Aires from a different perspective.

Experiencing the vibrant traditions and stunning landscapes during our two-day adventure was truly a treat for us. A standout moment was savoring the delicious asado, where the flavors of the grilled meats mingled perfectly with the camaraderie of fellow travelers. While the boat ride through the lush waterways was peaceful, we wished for a bit more time to explore some of the charming riverside towns.

We had an amazing time exploring the combination of vibrant landscapes and cultural experiences over two days. Our accommodations were comfortable and well-located, providing a perfect base for our adventures. The boat ride through the lush waterways was a serene contrast to the lively gaucho festivities we enjoyed later on. However, we felt that some parts of the itinerary could have been better organized, as there were a few delays during transitions. Overall, the blend of nature and tradition created a memorable journey for our group, and we left with wonderful memories and plenty of photos to cherish.
