Wadi Bani Khalid
The tour starts in the morning we'll drive towards Wadi Bani Khalid one of the biggest and most beautiful wadis in Oman, after reaching the magnificent Wadi, just a short walk of approximately 10 minutes (walking shoes or trainers are required), you'll see sparkling clear water pools 9 meters depth perfect for a long swim, relax sunbath, in the beautiful scenic Wadi Canyon.
Wahiba Sands
From Wadi Bani Khalid we continue our tour to the desert (Wahiba Sands) this spectacular Desert has an area of 12,500 Square K.M called Al Sharqiya Sands, formerly known as “The Wahiba Sands” a region of desert in Oman the region was named for the Bani Wahiba tribe, divided between the northern and southern Governorates in the Eastern Region. The area is defined by a boundary of 180 K.M (110 mi) north to south and 80 K.m (50 mi) east to west, have fun in the golden sands and enjoy the dune bashing with our experienced tour guide.From there drive back to Muscat
2.5 Hours. Transfer from Muscat to Wadi Bani Khalid via 4WD.
2 Hours. Walk into the canyon (approx. 10 mins) and swim in the natural pools.
1 Hour. Transfer from Wadi Bani Khalid to the desert edge
2 Hours. Off-road dune bashing and desert exploration in 4WD vehicle.
2 Hours. Return drive to original pickup point in Muscat.

We had a fantastic time exploring the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid and the thrilling Wahiba Sands during our day out. The drive was pretty smooth and the desert safari was a real highlight, but we wished there had been a bit more time to soak in the magnificent scenery.

The blend of refreshing oasis and the thrill of the desert safari was captivating, though we did wish for a bit more time in the wadi itself to soak in the serene beauty.

Exploring the striking landscapes felt like stepping into another world; the contrasts between the lush wadi and golden dunes were breathtaking. I loved the combination of serene swimming spots and the thrill of racing across the sands, although the transport back could have been more comfortable. Overall, it was a well-paced journey that allowed me to soak in the culture and natural beauty in a single day.
