Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy a short, scenic drive through local villages towards the tranquil outskirts of Tengeru.

09:00 AM – Arrival & Safety Briefing

Arrive at the Lake Duluti Forest Reserve. Meet your professional canoe guide, receive your safety gear (life jackets), and undergo a quick briefing on paddling techniques and safety rules.

09:30 AM – Canoeing Safari on Lake Duluti

Push off into the calm, turquoise waters of this ancient volcanic crater lake. Paddle along the steep forest rim while your guide highlights unique wildlife, including giant monitor lizards, fish eagles, kingfishers, and cormorants nesting along the shoreline.

11:30 AM – Guided Forest Rim Walk

Step off the water and take a gentle guided walk along the natural trail surrounding the crater rim. Learn about the rich flora, ancient trees, traditional medicinal uses of local plants, and the sacred history of the lake to the local Meru tribe.

01:00 PM – Relaxing Picnic Lunch by the Lake

Unwind at a shaded spot near the lake shore and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch pack accompanied by chilled bottled water and local fresh fruits, taking in views of Mt. Meru in the background.

02:15 PM – Free Time & Photo Opportunities

Take time to relax, photograph the forest canopy and birdlife, or visit the small local art stalls near the reserve entrance.
