6 Day Serengeti Migration special Fly – in, Fly – out safari

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your Nihapa Tours representative and transferred to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari gateway. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the beautiful landscapes surrounding Mount Meru while receiving an introduction to your upcoming safari. Upon arrival in Arusha, check in at your hotel and relax after your journey. The rest of the day is free to rest, explore the area or prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Arusha.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Seronera in Central Serengeti. Flying directly into the Serengeti saves valuable travel time and allows you to spend more time in the wilderness. Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and begin your first game drive through the Seronera area, renowned for its abundant resident wildlife and excellent predator sightings. In the afternoon, continue exploring the central Serengeti before heading toward your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive through Central Serengeti, when wildlife is particularly active and the soft morning light creates exceptional scenery. Search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes and other wildlife before returning for breakfast. Later, begin your scenic journey north toward the Mara River area, following the seasonal movements of the Great Migration. Enjoy game viewing along the way as you gradually enter the Northern Serengeti. Arrive at your camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Today is dedicated to following the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti. Set out with your experienced guide toward the Mara River area, carefully exploring locations where migrating wildebeest and zebras may gather. The exact location of the herds changes naturally, so your guide will use local knowledge and current sightings to maximize your chances of finding the migration. If conditions are right, you may witness one of the most dramatic spectacles in nature as animals gather near or cross the Mara River. Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing before returning to your accommodation.

Spend another full day exploring Northern Serengeti and tracking the migration around the Mara River ecosystem. Having additional time in the area gives you greater flexibility to follow the herds and observe the ever-changing behavior of wildebeest, zebras and the predators that follow them. Your guide will monitor wildlife activity and choose the best areas for game viewing throughout the day. Beyond the migration, keep watch for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and other species that inhabit Northern Serengeti. Return to camp in the evening for your final night in the Serengeti.

Rise early for a final farewell game drive around the Mara River area, enjoying the peaceful morning atmosphere and one last opportunity to observe wildlife in Northern Serengeti. After your game drive, proceed to Kogatende Airstrip for your scenic flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro, depending on your onward travel plans. If you are extending your Tanzania journey, you can also connect onward to Zanzibar for a relaxing beach holiday. As you fly over the Serengeti, take in the final views of the endless plains before continuing to your next destination or departure flight home.
