Itinerary
Step 1
7:00am - Your private guide will meet you at your hotel in Hyderabad and you will set out on a scenic drive to Srisailam. Srisailam is located in the Nallamala hills of Andhra Pradesh and is home to the famous Mallikarjuna Temple.
Step 2
11:00am - Upon arriving at the temple, your guide will take you on a tour of the site. The Mallikarjuna Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati, and is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. The temple is known for its intricate carvings and stunning architecture, which blend the Chalukya and Vijayanagara styles of architecture. You will also learn about the history and significance of the temple, which dates back to the 7th century.
Step 3
1:00pm - Lunch break.
Step 4
2:00pm - Next, your guide will take you to the nearby Shikaresvara Temple. This ancient temple is known for its stunning sculptures, which date back to the 5th century. You will get to explore the ruins of the temple, which include intricate carvings of gods and goddesses, animals, and other mythological figures. Your guide will also tell you about the history of the temple and its cultural significance.
Step 5
4:00pm - After the Shikaresvara Temple, you will return to Hyderabad, with unforgettable memories of your day trip to the Mallikarjuna Temple. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel, and you will have the rest of the evening to relax and reflect on your experience.
