Itinerary

Day 1 DAY 1 Iquitos - Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge
  • Activity

    After picking you up at the Iquitos Airport, we will go by road to get Nauta. At this point, we will take a boat that will take us inland, until we reach the lodge.

  • Activity

    After enjoying a delicious and natural fruit juice, we will accommodate in the rooms.

    After lunch, we will have a fun talk about myths and legends of the Amazon jungle. In the evening, we will go hiking around the lodge, and look for spiders, frogs and all kind of insects. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 DAY 2 Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
  • After breakfast

    we will walk around the lodge to visit the resting forest, to explore the flora and fauna of the place.

    With our lunch on board, we will go by boat to a fun excursion. We will see pink dolphins, and you will appreciate the beauty of the jungle reflected in the river. That's the reason is famous as the "Forest of Mirrors" too. We will visit the Community January 20, and we will learn about their customs and their handicrafts. We will continue inside the jungle, and spend a nice time practicing sport fishing with piranhas. We will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner, and overnight.

Day 3 DAY 3 Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
  • After a good breakfast

    we will go to Cocha Siriyacu by boat, and practice fishing. This visit depends on the river conditions. We will visit the communities of San Jorge and the Artisans Women Center. We will return to lodge. This day includes lunch and dinner. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 DAY 4 Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - Iquitos
  • Early in the morning

    we will go to check the fishing traps that we leave the previous day. Then, we will enjoy a good Amazonian breakfast, and we will admire birds. After lunch, you will have free time to enjoy the last moments in this spectacular place.

  • Activity

    We will return to Nauta, and transfer you to Iquitos airport.

  • On Day 4, lunch is included. In case your flight leaves earlier, and you cannot have lunch, we will not grant discounts or returns.
  • Recommendation to choose flight schedule for entering and leaving the Lodge: First arrival flights: LIM / IQT (Take flights arriving before 09:00 am) Last departure flights: IQT / LIM (Take flights departing after 6:00 p.m.) For flights at other times, consult the cost for the additional transfer per section.
  • The program may vary according to the climatic conditions and according to the season (empty and growing of the Amazonian rivers).
  • The vaccine for the yellow fever is optional
  • Pick up from Iquitos airport or from centrally located downtown hotels
  • The lodge uses a generator from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (220v electricity)
  • There is no Wi-Fi signal due to the location of the lodge
