Your expedition begins in Rurrenabaque with a boat ride along the Beni River, crossing through San Buenaventura and entering the world-famous Madidi National Park—one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet.
You’ll visit the impressive Bala Gorge, surrounded by lush rainforest, before heading into the Motacusal forest, where towering trees and exotic birds welcome you. After settling into your jungle lodge or cabin, enjoy a sunset moment and prepare for a night walk into the forest. With the guidance of a local expert, you’ll seek out nocturnal creatures like frogs, spiders, owls, and maybe even glowing fungi.
Night in the Jungle Lodge: End the day in a comfortable eco-lodge, surrounded by nature’s soundtrack. Drift off to sleep with the calls of frogs, insects, and birds in the background a true jungle experience.
Day 2 : Deep Jungle Exploration & Indigenous Encounters.
-
Wake up to the sound of tropical birds and enjoy breakfast before venturing deeper into the jungle. Hike toward Campamento Caimán, where you’ll explore dense forest trails rich with medicinal plants and towering ceibas. Learn how indigenous communities use these plants for healing and survival.
In the afternoon, experience a hands-on piranha fishing session using traditional techniques, and discover the secrets of Amazonian fishing culture. You may also stop by a nearby indigenous community, sharing stories and customs with the locals.
As night falls, sit around the fire for a hearty dinner before a second night exploration, focused on nocturnal biodiversity and the sounds of the rainforest.
Overnight Stay in the Jungle: Spend another peaceful night in the heart of the rainforest, recharged by the energy of the wild.
Day 3 : Macaws, Seeds & Sustainable Living.
-
Start your morning with an early nature walk, perfect for spotting colorful macaws, monkeys, and toucans. This is also a great opportunity to collect seeds and natural elements that you’ll use later for creating your own artisanal craft.
After lunch, take part in a cacao demonstration, learning how chocolate is processed from bean to bar—a traditional and delicious conclusion to your jungle experience.
Return by boat to Rurrenabaque in the late afternoon, taking with you the sights, sounds, and soul of the Amazon.
