Itinerary
Day 1 LIMA: GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE
-
Around 9:30 am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and head to the bohemian district of Barranco. Stroll through its vibrant, art-filled streets on a guided walk, stopping at two local spots to savor a traditional Peruvian breakfast.
Next, explore the Santa Cruz Market in Miraflores (or a similar local market), where you’ll sample fresh seasonal fruits and discover the rich variety of Peru’s produce. Then, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking experience at a local restaurant, learning to prepare Peru’s iconic Pisco Sour and ceviche under the guidance of a professional chef.
The day culminates at the renowned Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, nestled within an ancient adobe pyramid complex, where you’ll delight in a tasting of traditional dishes and desserts. At the end of the experience, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Lima.
Day 2 LIMA: LARCO HERRERA MUSEUM
-
Around 9:00 am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Larco Museum, located in the historic district of Pueblo Libre. Housed in an elegant viceregal mansion built atop a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid, the museum offers a fascinating journey through Peru’s past. Explore an extraordinary collection of over 45,000 archaeological artifacts, including exquisite pre-Hispanic gold and silver pieces, as well as the museum’s renowned erotic art collection, which provides a unique perspective on 5,000 years of Peruvian history.
