Your journey begins at 8 AM from Fes, heading along the highway towards Ifrane, a mountain town known for its cool weather and stunning Swiss-like landscapes. After about an hour and a half, you will arrive in Ifrane, where you can stop to explore Ifrane Lake or Ifrane National Park. After spending some time in Ifrane, you will continue your journey towards Errachidia, passing through beautiful mountainous and plain landscapes, reaching the city in the early afternoon or evening.

Upon arrival in Errachidia, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this desert town. in your hotel then you can take a walk around the Errachidia Souk to pick up some souvenirs. In the evening, relax and enjoy the serene desert vibes of the town.

After breakfast in Errachidia, start your journey toward Merzouga, heading into the desert to reach the famous sand dunes. Upon arrival, head straight to the dunes to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the golden sands.

In the evening, you will have the opportunity to settle into a desert camp, where you can experience the traditional life of the desert. Enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner such as tagine or couscous with lamb or chicken. After dinner, gather around the fire with locals and listen to traditional desert music under the starry sky.

Sleep in or take our advice and wake up early to catch the sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast you will be able to spend your day exploring the desert surrounding Merzouga as you like. Possible activities include: -Visiting the historical towns and palm groves around the Tafilalt Oasis (Rissani, Merzouga, ) -Visiting Khamlia village to hear Gnawa music, or relaxing around the desert tents In the late afternoon, once the day heat has subsided, we will trek out via camel back to a Berber camp site in the middle of the sand dunes, far away from the worries of the world. Here, your Berber hosts will cook traditional desert meals for you such as a delicious dish called Madfona and you may get the chance to drink camel's milk , while teaching you about their culture. Spend the evening huddled around the camp fire, venture out into the desert, or lie on a sand dune and gaze at the stars.
