Itinerary

1. Madaba

Meet your private English – Speaking Driver at your Amman hotel for an afternoon or evening departure, then relax during the 33 KM (21-Miles) trip to the mosaic city of Madaba. Upon arrival in the historic city, you will be dropped at Haret Jdoudna restaurant, a 19th century home with gorgeously restored rooms and floors—on cold evenings, there’s often a blazing fire in the restaurant’s hearth. Sit down to a hearty meal of cold and hot “Mezze”, the restaurant's selection of small plates. The menu changes with season and availability, but Haret Jdoudna makes a wonderful version of “Makdous”, pickled eggplant with garlic and walnuts, as well as crisply fried halloumi cheese, and a wide variety of fresh salads and starters. Followed with a variety of chicken and beef barbeque prepared for your taste with special Arab delicious spices. End your meal with coffee with cardamom or tea with mint and selected sweets and seasonal fruits. You can choose to relax with a Middle Eastern “Shisha” pipe filled with flavored tobacco at your own personal expense.

2. Amman Governate

There’s also a craft, mosaic, and souvenir shop on site, and after your meal, you are free to browse before meeting the driver for the return trip to Amman, where this culinary excursion experience concludes. This is a tour you will never miss!
