💎 Why we love it ?
This camping tour takes you to three of the very foremost attractions in Southern Africa, the fabulous Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park with one of the largest concentrations of game in the African continent, and finally to the magnificent Victoria Falls. You will also visit parts of Namibia with untouched nature, the Kavango and Caprivi regions.
🏁 Tour Itinerary: 10 Days Okavango Delta, Caprivi, Chobe & Victoria Falls Camping Tour
Day 1: Ghanzi – Ghanzi Trail Blazers (L, D)
You will be collected between 07:30 & 08:00 from anywhere within Windhoek as we embark on a very drive. We will use the Trans-Kalahari Highway as it is a very good road, although somewhat monotonous. You will have sufficient time to enjoy the landscapes of Kalahari. Warthogs, baboons, antelopes (including kudu), and birds of prey may be seen along the road. After completing the immigration formalities at the border post we continue into Botswana to our night camp in the Kalahari Desert. Most likely there will be a clear night and as the campfire fades we will be able to lean back in our chairs and marvel at the sight of millions of stars in the sky while we listen to the sounds from both small and large creatures out there in the dark.
🏚️ Accommodation: Ghanzi Trail Blazers.
Day 2: Guma Lagoon – Okavango Delta (B, L, D)
An early start and away towards greener pastures. We will arrive at our night camp in the early afternoon after having changed to a 4-wheel drive during the last part of the trip in order to make it through the sand. Our guides and their assistants will prepare a tasty dinner and soon enough it is time to go to bed and fall asleep to the sound of night birds and perhaps one or two hippos out there in the delta.
🏚️ Accommodation: Nguma Island Lodge.
Day 3: Mokoro Safaris at Camp Okavango (B, L, D)
We get awakened by a cacophony of birds, where species succeed one another as it gets lighter. After breakfast, we move out into the delta, first by motorboat and then by canoes – mokoros. Standing in the mokoros, skillfully balancing, our polers will take us through the shallow, clear water out to one of the many islands. Traveling through lush vegetation on narrow stretches of water alternating with open water areas we might see an elephant or two on one of the islands nearby. If we want to, we may stop for a swim at some suitable place. We will go ashore on an island and go for a nature walk with our guide. Here we might come across some of the animals that live in the delta, like red lechwes, Warthogs, and Elephants. Before dinner, we return to our camp for a night´s rest after a day full of adventures.
🏚️ Accommodation: Nguma Island Lodge.
Day 4: Dlvundu – Mahango Game Reserve (B, L, D)
Leaving Botswana for Namibia as we drive to Mahango Game Reserve, with the aim of going on a game drive and at the same time try to spot the beautiful sable antelope that occurs here. With some fortune, we might as well see other species that we haven’t seen before on our safaris, such as buffalo and roan antelope. Our night camp will be at the Okavango River with its rich birdlife.
🏚️ Accommodation: Mahangu Safari Lodge Campsite.
Day 5: Popa Falls – Kwando River – Namushasha Heritage Centre (B, L, D)
After a night next to the Okavango river, we will proceed through the Caprivi strip. We will stop at the poppa falls and arrive in time for lunch at our campsite next to the Kwando River. This afternoon we will visit one of the local traditional villages and learn about the local culture of the Caprivian people.
🏚️ Accommodation: Namushasha Campsite Gondwana Collection Namibia.
Day 6: Chobe National Park – Chobe Boat Cruises (B, L, D)
This morning we will depart for Botswana to the Chobe safari lodge campsite. We will drive through the Caprivi. On our way, we will make a stop in Katima Mulilo to get some supplies. We aim to arrive just in time for an afternoon boat cruise in the afternoon on the Chobe River. On this afternoon Chobe river cruise you will see more animals than on a game drive with a perfect sunset.

Brian_Krijger –
Had a great trip with Blue Crane, and what impressed me most was when things went bad, Derek handled it like a pro.
Nothing major, small oversights and some bad luck with weather too, but again, they showed what they were made of in how the solved it for us. Fair play.
Our drivers Peter and Samual were great guys, good cooks and even better company at the campfire every night!
Also, nice new truck, new camping equipment and plenty of meat for dinner haha, which made our price even better value for money.
Would definitely recommend these guys.
