Day 1

HCM - Sa Dec - Cao Lanh - Tram Chim National Park

  • 6:30 AM: Departure from District 1, or from The Sun Tourist office at 203 De Tham. Begin your journey to Sa Dec Flower Village.

    7:10 AM: Enjoy breakfast at a rest stop, then continue the drive to Sa Dec. Along the way, our guide will share fascinating insights about the unique features and cultural significance of the places we pass.

    10:00 AM: Arrive in Sa Dec. Your first stop is the ancient Kien An Cung Pagoda, built by the local Chinese community.   • 9:00 AM: Depart for Gao Giong Ecotourism Site, located in Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province.
    10:00 AM: Arrive at Gao Giong Ecotourism Site. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see and hear hundreds of bird species residing in this area. Climb the 18-meter-high observation tower and use the telescope to enjoy the endless green of the tram forest and the vibrant white of thousands of birds living and breeding in this natural sanctuary.

  • 12:00 PM

    12:00 PM: Enjoy a rustic lunch featuring seasonal dishes from the local wetlands, such as grilled snake-head fish wrapped in young lotus leaves with tamarind fish sauce, caramelized anabas fish in a clay pot, and sour soup with “Linh” fish and water lilies.

  • 2:00 PM: Leave Gao Giong, then drive along 1A highway to the My Thuan
