Itinerary

Meet at Cordoba Train Station

Day 1

CORDOBA - Arrival

  • At the established time, pick up at the AVE train station in Córdoba and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, we will take a guided tour of the Jewish quarter, visiting the souk, synagogue and downtown area. We continue with the visit to the Mosque of Córdoba where we can enjoy its majestic architecture and the beautiful courtyard of ablutions (Naranjos). A complete visit lasting more than 3 hours.

Day 2

CORDOBA

  • Heir to an intercultural gastronomic tradition, Córdoba, well known for monuments such as the Mosque-Cathedral, or popularized for its particular Patios, is also a city in which good cuisine plays a leading role.

    Marked by its past as the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate, but also by the passage of the Guadalquivir in the city, being a relevant crossroads since Roman times, Córdoba has become, thanks to its impressive legacy, a city in which Cordobes and tourists they enjoy in harmony, even when sitting at the table.

    At noon, our guide will meet you for a gastronomic-historical route. A tour where the tasting of different tapas will take us to the different stages of the history of the city. Sephardic, Arab and current dishes but with the essence of yesteryear, will be the protagonists in a unique tour, without tourist crowds and where we will discover the authentic Cordovan cuisine beyond the salmorejo and that are prepared in the Cordovan houses.

Day 3

CORDOBA -CARMONA - SEVILLA

  • After breakfast, we check-out and move to Seville. En route, we will make an obligatory stop due to its historical-gastronomic importance, such as the city of Carmona. Upon arrival, we will take a brief walk through its old Jewish quarter and downtown area, being one of the oldest cities in Andalusia and “sister” to Seville for its similar Mudejar architecture. After the visit, we will have a snack tasting its rich and famous pastry, exported throughout the country and abroad. We will taste English cake, oil buns, rice pudding, torrijas bathed in sweet wine and honey and homemade polvorones. According to time of year.

    We continue the trip to Seville. Upon arrival, check-in, free lunch and accommodation.

    In the afternoon, we will take a walk to feel the pulse of the ancient Andalusian capital, we will walk through the historic center without entering monuments through the Santa Cruz neighborhood, Plaza de España and exteriors of the Cathedral and Alcázar of Seville. Day 4

SIERRA DE ARACENA - CAMAS - SEVILLA

    We continue the journey to Aracena to visit the majestic Gruta de las Maravillas, this cave is a spring of inexhaustible beauty, forged by time on nature itself, with the help of simple elements such as water and stone.

    The great extension of its lakes, the abundance and variety of formations, and the length of its development make this subterranean complex a set of great beauty and showiness. Discovered at the end of the 19th century, it was in 1914 when it was opened to the public as the first tourist cave in Spain.

    We will enjoy lunch in a traditional local sale to enjoy the Iberian products of the region.

    After lunch, we return to Seville.

    In the afternoon, after resting. We will enter the most authentic, local and rural Andalusia. We will enjoy a cooking workshop in a traditional Andalusian house. In the domestic environment of a 160-year-old house owned by the mid-20th century flamenco dancer, Antonio Duarte. We will carry out a workshop on traditional Andalusian dishes where we will learn how to do it from the hand of a professional cook.

Day 5

SEVILLA - MALAGA

  • First thing in the morning and after breakfast we move to Malaga. En route, we will make a stop in Antequera to see first-hand one of the oldest oil mills in the province, dating from the 18th century and where we can discover the process of making olive oil and its uses. In addition, we will carry out an oil tasting with an oleotechnical expert.

    After enjoying the qualities, uses and history of olive oil, we will move very close to the oil mill to enjoy a traditional lunch in the city of Antequera. We will enjoy the traditional “porra antequerana”, sister of the salmorejo but with an indigenous touch that makes it one of the best-known and best-tasted dishes in the province of Malaga.

    At the end of lunch, we continue our journey to Malaga. Arrival at the hotel. Free afternoon and dinner. Accommodation.

Day 6

MALAGA - GRANADA - MALAGA

  • There is no doubt that Granada’s gastronomy has Andalusian influences that remain today and are recognized internationally. The heritage, landscape and cultural wealth make the city of Granada one of the most beautiful in the world. History and Heritage, is when we give meaning to its gastronomic wealth, taking a gastronomic route through the most emblematic neighborhood and World Heritage Site such as the Albayzín.

    We will enjoy the tasty Tortilla del Sacromonte, the broad beans with Ham and the Choto with garlic, all of this in a beautiful journey through the winding and narrow streets of the white Albayzin, with the Alhambra as an accomplice of our tasting.

    We will finish in the downtown area to enjoy free time to explore the city before returning to the hotel in Malaga.

Day 7

MALAGA

  • A Phoenician city par excellence, in the morning we will discover the famous espetada, made for generations, this peculiar way of cooking fish will be the culmination of a beautiful and complete visit to the Nereo Shipyards. These traditional shipyards are Marine Heritage by UNESCO and are home to the oldest restored Phoenician ship in the world, as well as other wrecks such as the replica of a ship rescued from Texas waters in the United States.
