Rising majestically in the heart of Da Lat, Lang Biang Mountain stands as an iconic natural landmark and a cherished attraction for travelers. This impressive peak, reaching a height of 2,167 meters, offers a unique blend of stunning natural beauty and cultural significance.
This mountain is part of the Lang Biang Plateau, encompassing an expansive area of verdant forests, rolling hills, and captivating landscapes. Lang Biang Mountain's history holds great importance in the local culture and is steeped in intriguing legends and stories.
Step 2
- Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Dalat is known for its stunning views of Tuyen Lam Lake, beautiful architecture, and peaceful atmosphere. It is a religious destination for tourists to meditate and learn about Buddhist teachings.
- Truc Lam Zen Monastery’s opening hours are from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. It is also open for people who want to stay here and learn about Buddhism. You can ask the monks or nuns here to be allowed to stay.
Step 3
- Nestled amidst the lush landscapes of the Central Highlands, Datanla Waterfalls in Da Lat boasts a captivating blend of untouched wilderness and adventurous allure, making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike. This attraction is continuously evolving, introducing an array of exciting new attractions annually.
- For those who love to fully experience the majestic beauty of Da Lat’s mountains and forests, the enchanting Datanla Waterfalls is an unmissable attraction. As one of the five most beautiful Da Lat waterfalls, it also attracts tourists with many fascinating and adventurous games.
Step 4
Visit one of the most unique buildings in Da Lat – Hang
Nga Villa, also known as The Crazy House, with an exotic
design.
Standing in stark contrast to Dalat's French colonial villas, the bizarre avant garde guesthouse is a maze of spiral staircases, sculptural bedrooms, undulating surfaces, swirls of bright colors, narrow bridges and hidden nooks.
The artist behind the structure, 79-year-old Dang Viet Nga, says it's the ultimate expression of her imagination.
Step 5
- Strawberries are one of the most interesting plants grown with hydroponic technologies. Conventional strawberries are ordinarily plagued by pests and therefore require chemical pesticides and physical labor interventions. In Dalat, strawberry farmers have begun growing strawberries from the ceiling. Pioneered by the Biofresh Company, the technique has taken off and been picked up by other farms.
- These hanging strawberry gardens have become a tourist destination. A 3,000 square meter greenhouse dripping with pink and green strawberry plants is a sight to behold.
- Many of the farms offer educational tours, and some will even offer tiny baskets for picking the ripe and juicy fruits. Tourists in Dalat shouldn’t miss the opportunity to indulge in strawberries, because they don’t grow well anywhere else in the country.
