Why we love it?

This tour begins with a hotel pickup in Mae Hong Son before heading to the Mae Salong Morning Market, where you can explore a variety of local snacks including fried insects like grasshoppers, red ants, silk worms, bamboo worms, red ant eggs, crickets, mini crickets, and scorpions. The market offers a unique glimpse into local food culture and provides opportunities for photos with vendors and their unusual offerings. Afterward, you will observe the traditional morning alms-giving ceremony, where locals present food such as glutinous rice to monks, following their strict rules against requesting or purchasing food. Your guide will explain the proper way to make an offering if you choose to participate. The tour includes return transportation from your hotel but does not cover gratuities, personal purchases, or alms contributions. This experience suits travelers interested in cultural immersion and local customs in northern Thailand.
