Itinerary

Step 1

9:00 AM - Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aurangabad. You will then head to Bibi Ka Maqbara, also known as the "Tomb of the Lady." Admire the stunning architecture of this mausoleum built by Prince Azam Shah in memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum. Your guide will provide you with insights into the history and architecture of this beautiful monument.

Step 2

10:00 AM - Next, you will visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum, which is dedicated to the Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji. The museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the Maratha empire, including weapons, paintings, and manuscripts. Your guide will provide you with information about the exhibits and the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji.

Step 3

11:00 AM - After the museum, you will visit the Panchakki, a water mill built in the 17th century that was used to grind grain for the pilgrims visiting the nearby Dargah of Baba Shah Musafir. Your guide will tell you about the history and working of the water mill, which is powered by an underground channel that carries water from a nearby spring.

Step 4

12:00 PM - After lunch, you will head to the Aurangabad Caves, a group of 12 rock-cut Buddhist shrines located on a hillside. These caves date back to the 6th and 7th centuries and feature intricate carvings, sculptures, and frescoes depicting Buddhist teachings and stories. Your guide will provide you with insights into the history, art, and culture of these ancient caves.

Step 5

2:00 PM - Your tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Aurangabad.
