Heraklion Archaeological Museum

The day begins with a visit to the legendary Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, featuring the most extensive Minoan collection worldwide. Ten halls showcase rare exhibits such as golden jewelry, exquisite ceramics, unique vessels and containers, and, of course, the Minoan frescoes, those unique creations that express a pandemonium of color, movement and symbolize a tribute to life itself, are only of the few elements that make up for the oldest frescoes ever found in Europe.

Knossos Palace

Next, you will visit the mythical palace of King Minos, the legendary son of Zeus and Europa, who ruled in the prehistoric era on his magical island.

Scalarea Estate (Boutari Winery Crete)

Finally, we conclude the tour by visiting the winery, as Cretan wines are a top product which has been increasingly exported from Crete in recent years.

The indigenous grape varieties have been producing their unique flavor and aroma for the past 4,000 years, and are sometimes blended with some of the most famous grape varieties in the world.
