Why we love it?

This full-day tour departs from Marrakech at 9:00 a.m. and travels through the Agafay desert to the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in the village of Amizmiz. From there, you’ll embark on a guided hike through scenic mountain trails to the village of Tafgaght, where a tea break in a Berber house offers insight into local hospitality. The route continues to the Tizi n Tiqi pass at 1,300 meters, providing panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and the Anougal valley while your guide shares information about the Atlas summits, Berber culture, and history. After a home-cooked lunch with a Berber family, the walk descends through the valley before returning to Marrakech by vehicle. This experience suits travelers interested in nature, light to moderate hiking, and cultural immersion in a less-touristy part of Morocco.

Itinerary

Stop 1

After Breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech, pick up at 9am depart towards the direction of Amizmiz Village on the foothill of high atlas mountain in the altitude of 1000 meters and its one hour drive and we pass through the Agafay desert.
Arrive at Amizmiz Village, meet your local guide at the centre , briefing about the day ( can be moderate or basic walk) and start the walk up to the first village of Tafgaght where you will have tea break in Berber House after one hour walk, and we continue up hills to Tizi n Tiqi pass 1300m and down to Anougal valley , enjoying the stunning views over the Valleys and peaks covered with snow, unforgettable moment at the summit taking pictures while your guide explaining about the Atlas summits, valleys names, Berber lifestyle, and the history of the Berbers.

After lunch in berber family home we walk down the valley and meet your driver and drive you back to the same address in Marrakech.
